2 Map Upload Questions
Anywho, I would like to ask if I could post a recent map i've made. Why I am I asking? Well the map is a playground map but there's a catch. It's not a normal playground map.
I've made some things unlockable, and the quality is just like my other maps.
Here's some screens to prove my point:
So can I please put this map up in a thread?
I say thread because this map is so massive the filesize is quite big so I think it would be wise to simply link to a dropbox to save space. If that's a problem I can try uploading it but it might take awhile.
So that's the second question: Can I put a link that is not on TWP to the map DL?
And you can; tick the External checkbox and enter the URL to the download in the field.

Why not just upload it, because if it's that good it won't get removed. And you can; tick the External checkbox and enter the URL to the download in the field.
Well I asked because I remember a very strict policy about playground maps, quality or not, so I wanted to be sure it would be ok to upload it.

- Maps with no lighting (fullbright maps)
- "Playground" or sandbox type maps (assuming they are of general poor quality on their own, see above)
- Maps with no goal, puzzle or objective
I'd say you're in the clear, as this looks high-quality and I would consider unlocking an objective.

If a "playground" map is of sufficient quality - and by that I mean, it's not a single box room with fullbright and 1 texture - then I won't have a problem with it. The ones that were removed were nothing more, or not much more, than that though.EDIT
The goal is not to stifle creativity or make a "No Fun Allowed" rule; we want to make sure that visitors know that TWP will continue to have some of the best quality Portal 2 maps on the internet. I have full faith that one of our many talented community members could make a "playground" map, and make it look good.In fact, consider that a challenge. Anyone who thinks they can make a playground map that is also a "high quality download", do your best. I dare you.
I'd say you're in the clear mate.
From your screenshots it looks like there's plenty to explore, especially if it has unlockable parts. The problem with most other "playground" maps I've seen, is that they're just variations on the "one big room with every test element in it" theme, which gets boring pretty quickly.
Your map looks almost like a playable style guide for the different test chamber themes, which is a useful thing to have all by itself, not even counting actual playability

So, where's the link to this map?
He hasn't uploaded the map yet, he's just asking whether it's okay to upload it. There'll be a link soon hopefully
