You realize we have had an IRC chat room since day one right? The java applet hasn't been around as long but it's been there for a long time too. It's not my fault that people don't want to use it, and if I wasn't away from my home PC for probably 75% of the day I would use the Steam Chat more.
We do have quality standards here you know and I generally don't let shitty maps get put into the Releases board. I can't say you're wrong about the general unreplayability of user maps, but hey we can only do so much about that.
