exactly my thoughts too. the last thing I want here is for mAL's popularity - which is a lot bigger than mAI, to be made into a redirection page.

I'm going to be switching web hosts some time this weekend (hopefully), and I'd like to be able to only have to set up one domain when I do so...if we stay mAI there's no question of whether we keep mAL (was hard to get that!), but myApertureInnovations has not really got that well known.

The poll is a lot closer now than it was, does anyone else want to swing their vote?

I have a distinct preference for MyApertureLabs.

I honestly really don't care. What I do care about is the logo crap I spent hours on. It is really nice to have a site use your logo when your trying to get into a job of Art.

Well you could still do a mAL's logo and trademark stuff make over.

I completely understand, I put a lot of work into mAI paraphernalia also. We'll see when the poll closes.

Slapping "LABS" in replacement of innovations will not work. The entire logo and site would need to be thought over. Also it does not help that I burned CDs and uploaded it to my portfolio and now it is at risk of being obsolete.

I thought the fact that we weren't "well known" was because the website still hadn't "gone gold" just yet.

Yep, just waiting for nick to get me the relevant database files. He seems pretty busy and it's a lot of maps, so it'll probably take some time.

Today I'll be switching over to Lithium Web Hosting from Godaddy, so the site might be down a bit. Probably not, as the only thing that has to change is nameservers. Note: a few posts may be missing, as the forums ar ebeing restored from a backup made earlier today. Anyway, it'll be cheaper and hopefully more reliable in terms of file downloads.

Switch is (finally, sigh) done! Everything's back the way it was, and the download speeds are excellent now! Plus, paying a good $6 less per month than before. Good stuff.

I vote we use a non-intrusive google ad so we are able to own mAL indefinitely, as per my conversation with PP.

Yay, We are back up. Now I can upload my TF2 map!

Speaking of which, hopefully we can all work on more Portal/ Portal theme stuff rather then us sitting here debating what to call our self's.
