Actually it is self evidant as he/she has not responded since the thread was made.

Not self-evident in the least. There are several other answers as to why the author may not have responded yet, for example: simply hasn't had the time to check back yet (as MasterLagger said), hasn't received any actual offers in the thread, feels the contact info in the original post is sufficient for advertising/putting the word out, etc.

So its perfectly acceptable to create an account, blatantly spam advertisments for a website and just abandon the account?

One possibly legitimate post does not a spammer make. If the author began putting posts in every thread on the board, started spamming users with PMs, etc. then it might be spamming.

You got where I was going Winston.

To sum everything up, generalizing is bad, don't do it.

Being angry and negative only hurts the person who is being angry and negative.

It makes perfect sense to me.
I'm sure he means that the person being angry and negative only makes himself less likable. And to be honest, disliking someone just because they have a different view of a situation, is nothing more than an attitude of an 8 yr. old bully.

That last sentence was uncalled for and irrelevant to this whole topic.
Gamingnerd has also asked people to contact him/her according to his/her post if they were interested. I don't think gamingnerd would want to post lots of information on several forums because that would be time consuming. Better to have people coming to him than posting it on a forum where everyone may not care at all about it.

Not only that, but having all these negative feelings makes it hard to enjoy life. Being angry and being happy are mutually exclusive.

And since the meaning of life is being happy, it's counter-productive to be angry.

Hmm... that's a very interesting view on the meaning of life. Oh god, I got the Monty Python "Meaning of Life" song stuck in my head again.

Speaking of uncalled for and irrelevant.

Umm... should we move this to a new thread? I can't help but think that this is getting a little off-topic. If we're going back and forth about this I think it would be a good idea.

Was this ever 'on' topic? Did anyone respond to this spammers request?

It is getting a bit off-topic. So, new idea: stop talking about anything not related to offering services to the original author. Myself included.

I actually owned and operated a gaming site for several years. Eventually, I called it quit because it has too few members to sustain the site.

There are millions of gaming communities and sites, and it's incredibly hard to get traffic to your site. For every successful, thriving community, there are thousands of failed ones.
