So I made the Companion Cube in MS Paint from scratch. Tell me what you think.

Good job.

Why not ms paint, he only needs the brush and the pencil, not any of those fancy layers

This implies those things are bad.

Thanks guys. I use MS Paint because Photoshop isn't needed to do art. I like using the basics, ESPECIALLY when doing sprites and pixel art. To me, photoshop is a slower process, and would only make it look horrible if done from scratch.

I used this as a reference.

I like it, has a nice "animated" look to it (for lack of a better word). Who cares if it was done in Paint, just goes to show you it's the skill of the artist who wields the tool that counts. A $500 tool set is nice but if a $2 screwdriver will get the job done just as well, what's the point? The end result is what matters.

While I appreciate the humor, what Sythes made is actually really good so I don't see why the hell you think it's necessary to flame him.

Wow, for once I'm inclined to be more draconian than msleeper on this one. My first reaction was "yellow card for being a jackass."

Funny, I didn't take it that way at all. I took more like "hey look at my lack of skill compared to this guy". I just figured he forgot to close the sarcasm tag.

Origionally, I took it as spam. Not really a flame, not anything that contributed to the topic.
