This here is my submission to the Gameriot "Dawn of Blackbird" machinima competition.

It starts as an Aperture Science promotional video showcasing GLaDOS, but things go a bit out of control when she meets an HP Blackbird computer. Competition requirements stated that we needed to insert the Blackbird into our films in some way (can you say "product placement"?).

Just to let you know, I personally believe GLaDOS wouldn't be defeated by such a trivial thing as a desktop computer but the video would end sort of strangely otherwise.

As far as I know, this is the first Portal machinima as well.

The voice is great. Could have used some chorus but that would be really tricky to pull off in a similar manner to in-game. I'm very surprised.

How hard is it for you to make the voice? I'm sure that you could see a lot of action if you cared to make voices for Portal mappers.

My only gripe is a few brushes had surfaces that were on the same plane so they flickered.

Yeah, there wasn't much reverb with the voice since it wasn't in game, it was dubbed over. I was under some pretty tight time constraints for this since I found the competition a week before the closing date and had to write the script, hack together some faceposing and tweak the map practically all at once.

If anyone else wants portal voices I'm happy to make some for them. I'm improving the technique I used to try and make them as Gladosy as possible so the next batch will sound better than these.

Now as for making some custom GlaDOS quotes for us, that would be the coolest thing to have in a custom map.
