Using Markdown
The forum supports Markdown for formatting posts. This includes both basic Markdown and extended Markdown codes, as well as several Discord-style Markdown features. Markdown replaces BBCode for text formatting on the forum, on the Download pages and comments, and anywhere else you can post text.
A complete list of supported Markdown syntax and examples is provided in the following post. A limited amount of HTML tags are available as well for cases where Markdown codes are not sufficient.
Users are highly encouraged to post logs and other technical information inside Fenced Code Blocks when sharing issues to help make issues more readable.
Using Emoji Shortcodes
The forum supports posting emojis and phpBB-style "smilies". Emojis are inserted using "shortcodes", such as :emoji: using the emoji name. For example, use  to post the "smile" emoji:
A full list of available emojis and an "emoji picker" are available on the full reply page.
Q&A Threads
Some forum boards are configured for question-and-answer discussions. In these boards, the topic author can mark one reply as the accepted answer. The selected answer is visually highlighted for future readers, and helps others quickly find the solution without reading the entire thread.
When creating a Q&A topic:
- Use a clear, descriptive title that summarizes the question.
- Include all relevant details in the first post, such as context, error messages, screenshots, or code.
- Keep replies focused on solving the problem or clarifying missing information.
Using the Q&A feature correctly improves searchability and makes the forum more useful for everyone. Posters are highly encouraged to select a "Marked Answer" in a question thread they post.
Distinguished Posts
Certain posts may be "distinguished" by a visible gold border. These posts are selected by moderators, admins, or other trusted community members as especially helpful or otherwise high quality responses.
