Did it ever occur to the creator's of Star Wars that the series was dead after the 2nd movie? Hell, they even have a cartoon of Star Wars on Cartoon Network that's even worse than the movie. You must have the tolerance of a saint if you sat through the whole movie.

I thought Eps. 1 was a decent movie. Jar Jar wasn't as bad as I remember when I went to see it with my best friend with his family.

I actually rather enjoy Clone Wars. Despite being sometimes marketed as a kid's show, they've had surprisingly dark and serious story arcs. It's the only medium of which I've heard of a "clone soldier being disillusioned about effectively being a warrior slave to the Republic" story being told.

Me and wstrika have both been watching The Clone Wars, and after the first season when they stop trying to pretend like it's a kid's show, it gets really good. Such examples of non-kid elements:

A clone that deserts the clone army because he does not want to die for no reason
A clone that has become disillusioned with the clone army being slaves to the Republic
Anakin force choking a Seperatist leader
Someone committing suicide. On screen
Worm-goes-in-your-brain-and-now-you're-a-zombie zombies
Asajj Ventress kissing a clone trooper on the cheek right as she stabs him through the chest(Though it was cut from the aired version, it's going to be on the DVD/Blu Ray release)
The cloning facility on Kamino being attacked; hundreds of thousands of test tube fetuses die. On screen

And more!

Watch season 2 yourself if you don't believe me.

Damn, this makes Invader Zim look lighter than The Clone Wars.

Hey, I went to see The Phantom Menace a week ago Friday and the theater was actually pretty crowded. And people rip on it for being a bad movie, but really the worst part is young Anakin's dialogue and acting. Jar Jar may be corny but he really isn't all that bad.

Yes I'm standing up for him. I look forward to your messages.

How were you allowed a camera in... wait... the first movie sucked (except for the bit where darthmaul got chopped in half and died and some aliens exploding)

I bet the pod race would be a pretty spectacular experience in 3D though.

And it seems to me that quite a lot of people (not looking at anyone on this forum in particular) are ripping on it for being a bad movie because they hear other people ripping on it for being a bad movie, and they don't want to be accused of having....
Bad Taste. (Da Da DAAAAAAAAH!)

Phone I'm guessing?

And no it didn't.

The 3D was pretty good. The last time I saw a 3D movie it was the red/blue kind, and I was fairly impressed by the real3D. It wasn't hit-you-over-the-head 3D, just subtle enough to be effective.

It seems that the whole 3D thing seems to be back up in the popularity list. I remember the first time I went to a 3D movie when I was in my middle school years and they had those red and blue 3D glasses. Only a few number of movies had 3D back then and now (jump about 8 yrs.) it's come back. Nintendo is into it (3DS), PlayStation is trying to fake it with a "special" TV, and now movies are back into it.

Just saying, but when you already have to wear glasses normally, 3D gets annoying with wearing two pairs of glasses at once.

Yeah I was taking the picture with my phone.

The pod race was pretty much the only scene I still consider to be "visually impressive", 3D or not. Overall the 3D was shockingly non-invasive like I expected it to be. It was very subtle.

You're telling me mate, my distance vision is horrible without my glasses.

But actually, I didn't find it all that annoying. Just getting the glasses positioned before the movie.

Sometime the 3D effect can be hard on the eyes. It happens to me occasionally.
