Other purposes of pneumatic diversity vent

As the titles says. Is there any
Other way to use a diversity vent in a puzzle. I can't imagine anything but maybe you can?

Check out HMW's Try Anything Twice. Theres a really cool use of diversity vents at one point. Im sure theres plenty of intersting uses for them, but they are something that is hard to get right.

Could you show me some pictures or just tell me? I do not own Portal 1. Only Portal 2.
Thank you for the other ideas too!

You can transport gel blobs through vents. I made some instances for Vent entraces and exits for this, because they need some triggers.

In my map Lost in Transition, I used them kind of like a catapult; however, it was hard to get the player around the turns, was pretty buggy, and lagged the orange player.

I used it as a track for launching weighted spheres in a pinball map and as a method of fast travel to the exit.

I took the liberty to make them suck everything: cubes, gel, the player, etc. And I use the vents as a multipurpose element. Check Diversity Gels (in my signature) or when I'll finish it a new map I'm working on called Hypobaric Function, that improves upon Diversity Gels in co-op mode.
I think making it suck the player as well creates a much more realistic feel, and remember we don't have these in Portal because valve couldn't explain why the player didn't get suck.
If you need I created an instance of the tube ride from the new DLC to capture the feeling of going through pipes.
