How do you get the Beta version? I'm so excited for this to come out, I want to try it ASAP!
Yeah I do too. Hopefully it won't get delayed though and by the look of things it's not going to. There is a Youtube channel called "ValveTime" that's uploading videos of the editor approved by Valve.

Even still, watching someone use it and actually using it are two entirely different thing though. I envy those beta testers.
I think you should go for good puzzles rather then a lot of maps.
If you plan to release 20 maps in a day (say 20 hours, 4 hours of sleep is often a good idea) that means you have an hour to design a puzzle.
I can create a map in the easy map maker in about 20-30 minutes, if I have an idea and a puzzle in mind. I think it's impossible to create 20 decent puzzles in just a day. Even in the easy map maker, but feel free to prove me wrong ![]()

No.

Dude, I'm just asking.

So am I.
What makes you think I plan on doing that?
Anyway, 4 more days!

Well, you did ask: "Does the Puzzle creator force you to solve a map before you can upload it?" Lots of people have no tolerance for spam maps. I'm not accusing you of being a spammer or anything, it's just that you asked the one question that spammers would want to know about. Ugh, so many horrible memories.
It looks like it's set up so that dull stuff will go to the bottom of the pile pretty quickly.

I don't think there's too much reason to be concerned about "spam maps". Not that the workshop won't be flooded with thousands upon thousands of boring or broken maps - it absolutely will be - but that's why there's a rating system in placeIt looks like it's set up so that dull stuff will go to the bottom of the pile pretty quickly.
I really hope so, but apparently it works for TF2 and Skyrim, in the portal 2 beta it isn't really working just because there are not enough people. But valve said it will be fine and I believe them
Can you put brush entities in your map like trigger_multiples using the editor? Or do you have to put those in using Hammer? Also, can you tell something what you specifically want it to do to the entity it's connected to? Like, if you connected a button to a funnel, can you tell it to reverse the funnel instead of just turn it on or off?
