Portal 2 no longer loads for me.

When I click on the icon, the dialogue box briefly appears on the screen as usual, but then nothing happens. Nothing loads. No error message. If I repeat it, the same thing happens.

Googling yields nothing. Steam forum does not offer any advice, and the Steam FAQ does not offer any suggestion either.

I restarted Steam already, but that did not help. The problem started this morning. Last night, it was working fine.

Anyone else having this problem or can offer any solution?

Try verifying the game cache. If that doesn't work my suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall.
