Hello "Thinking with Portals Community"-members,

I just finished a really nice and skill-based map called MovementPRO. But when I was talking to my BETA-testers, I found out that a lot of the portal 2 players dont know how to bunnyhop. So I decided to make a Bunnyhop-Tutorial map for the Portal-Community.
And here it is:

BunnyHopTRAINING: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=72420067

(Also advanced bunnyhoppers can test their skills with this map)
**
Please honor my social work with a subscription and a thumbs up. THANKS!**
__
And now to my real map:__

It is called MovementPRO and it will test your movment skills (as the name already says). You dont need to make a lot of portals or solve confusing puzzels. My intention was to make a map that is different to "normal" puzzlebased Portal 2 maps. In MovementPRO you need to show that you can also think with your feet. But let me tell you that the map is pretty HARD for players who are not used to these types of maps. Just see it as a challenge!

MovementPRO: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=72155403

I would be happy if you would support me by checking out my maps. They are only made with the custom map-editor, but I am really happy with the result (but I don't like the limited memory of the custom map-editor)

Also visit my Steam-Workshop: http://steamcommunity.com/id/1337_xD/myworkshopfiles/?appid=620
Maybe there are already some new maps.

Good Luck and Have Fun at trying out my challenging levels in Portal 2.

These two one-room puzzles require you to reuses the same few objects/portals over and over. There is a great deal of care to ensure you can restart from whatever situation you get yourself into without a lot of time lost.

The solutions are fair, but I have heard from a lot of folks that these puzzles had them fooled, right up until the euphoria from finding the solution blew their mined.

moderator note: moved this post from the showcase thread to the post your workshop maps here.

After a bit of playtesting from friends , I am confident enough to publish my first portal 2 map - Spaghettification.

Difficulty should be reasonably high , but nothing impossible for seasoned puzzle reverse engineering experts. It does feature some deliberately misleading elements , and a few superfluous others.
There are several ways of finishing it , and some time-saving tricks. There are no mandatory execution challenges , only logic puzzles.

Looks like a piece of cake, but is much trickier than meets the eye....also, mind the clue in the title.

Hint: Don't over think it.

This is my first chamber.

Shouldn't be too difficult for a normal player.

Hey guys, complete newbie here. I was hoping to get some feedback on some Portal 2 maps I've made, entirely with the PeTI editor.

Here's my workshop:

http://steamcommunity.com/id/lavalamp37 ... tion=items

There are 4 in there at the time of posting, and of those Spelunking is the newest and probably the hardest.

Hypercube is a fairly big map, but unfortunately I hit the item limit part way through making it, so it starts off strong but then tails off towards the end. Still a good map though I think.

Tricksy was the first one I made and I'm fairly pleased with how that one came out.

Logic was merely a showcase/experiment. As the description for Logic says there was meant to be another room that unfortunately made it run much too slowly.

Part of the third room would have been a 4 bit counter made from a clock signal generator and 4 T flip flops which in total required approximately 50 components (LASERs, relays and catchers), and many more connections. If anyone is interested I can provide a screenshot of this created in the game and explain how I made the various gates. Fun fact: the most efficient shape for 4 T flip flops in Portal 2 appears to be a swastica.

Anyway, this post has gone on for a while, so I'll wrap it up. I would appreciate any and all feedback on my maps, positive or negative. I seem to find this mapping lark interesting so anything that would help me to make better maps in future would be useful.

At the beginning it was quite simple as you said, but it was trickier at the end. Might have been the way I solved it though, I didn't use the redirection cube and I'm not 100% sure on how I would.

Took me a minute or two to get the "trick" to this one, but after that it was solved without incident.

Here's my very first map. It's disgusting, but you could just imagine the joy I felt when I was done it. Here's a screenshot of Symmetry, which can be downloaded from here.

Also, I made a remake of a classic pen-and-paper puzzle. Nine is a Lucky Number can be downloaded from here.

The second one was not a unique concept and the first one was disgusting. I'm working on a map that I think looks good. Here's a screenshot.

This is my second map. A little bit tricky but rather short test. Don't forget to rate and/or provide any feedback if you think this room needs some optimizing !

Fixed a few exploits in Advanced Launch, so I re uploaded it.

If you like excursion funnels and complex logic, this is the perfect map for you. Involves the reuse of elements, momentum, faith plates, and thinking outside the box.
