I'll be upfront, this is my very first map and probably isn't worthy of being widely-played. But you'll be upfront, and admit that you'll play it regardless, if not just to be able to say you didn't enjoy it.
Originally, this was going to be Episode: A, but after much inner-mental-debate, I decided perhaps it was best to deem it some sort of "Prequel" in order to - if nothing else - salvage some self-esteem that may or may not be damaged in the process of reading reviews.
So here it is, my first map; PortIllogic - Episode: Pre.
I never enjoyed Portal puzzles which didn't involve a sense of logic or intuitiveness; maps where you are walking, and the walls crush you on both sides for no apparent reason when you walk over a particularly darker colored tile; a giant game of trial and error. Rather, I like maps where you have to truly take into account your surroundings, and what you can use to solve the issues presented, in a logical manner.
In this first release, which is basically a large mush of arbitrary ideas I had for different puzzles, I attempted to test the player's mental capacity to think quickly, think logically, and even to remember.
I hope you enjoy it!
Fixed:
- lighting
- aesthetics
- fizzler is less confusing
- slightly harder, slightly easier to understand
