Confused again! Every time I come here, something has changed. Now I see no link to single player maps, no discriptions in the maps posted as to whether they are sp or coop maps. Secondly, When I find a new map, the download takes me to someones page with a subscribe link, no downloads even when I subscribe. What am I missing here?

That's the Portal 2 Steam Workshop. Maps you subscribe to appear in your "Community Test Chambers" queue when you restart Portal 2.

If you just go over to the downloads section; you can just pick the category there.

The subscribtion page is the portal 2 workshop. It's easier to just subscribe there, compared to downloading, unzipping putting it in the right folder etc. It also provides automatic updates so we highly recommend uploading maps the workshop
