If I could adequately explain that, I don't think there would be any room left for religion.

I have zero still for some reason, even though I got into the beta forever ago and stuff

Hang onto a couple in case people want to join our friday night games.

EDIT: speaking of which we should probably reschedule those so european peoples can start joining

Apparently I already own Dota 2, although I don't remember buying it. Does anyone know if that means that I don't need an invite? Or have I missed something...

Means you should be able to play whenever

If you did the survey it probably silently gave your account the beta. If not, maybe you accidently opened a gift of it? I dunno

Hm. I don't remember any gifts, although now you mention it I may have done the survey a while back.

It arrivedededededededed!

It's rather bigger than my old one, but it's also rather more powerful. Like, twice the cores, 2.5x the clock speeds, double RAM, ATI HD2400Pro 256MB -> GTX 660 2GB, and stuff. I'm happy.

Can I have a link where to buy it, price , etc? I might build myself one (or get a premade) for christmas.

I'm not sure where you are, but I'm in the UK. I don't know what they to outside the UK.

£700 including 20% VAT for the standard model, mine was £765 inc. VAT and shipping. The warranty is great - you can open it up, clean it out swap parts around (aside from the mobo or PSU) and they'll still honour it. That page is just the base model - you can customise it quite a lot by clicking the link at the bottom. They recommend getting a better cooler and case (I got the Cooler Master 430 and Akasa Nero 3), but it guess will run okay without them.

I can't recommend this build in particular because I haven't used it much yet, but I will say that I found them really helpful when I rang to ask about the spec in more detail and for advice about cooling because my room is quite warm. If you already have a license key for Windows (if you will be using Windows), tell them that and they will install a disk image but not verify it and you can use that instead of having to install from scratch, which is what I think happens when you choose a no-OS build.

Oh, and shipping to where I am is normally £40, but ask if they can do it cheaper. I said I didn't realise shipping wasn't included in the price of the PC (What? I didn't!) and they cut it by £15.

Thanks for the link n' specs. I'm from Canada so the shipping might be expensive as hell! I've been looking for a PC that I could go take in store, but the cases are ugly as bleh :C Also, I went on Cyberpowerpc and made my 'dream' build there; though the shipping for Canada is 95$ ;_;

Well, have a look at what parts they use and see if you can't get the same one built over there. You never know, perhaps you can get it cheaper on newegg or whatever Canada has like that.

We've had spam problems in the past, but this guy is just off the hook. He's double posting, for crying out loud!

I -think- I've gotten it all, but I agree, it's way too much. All from one user, too. I'm going to look at some homegrown captcha options for better security.

Given: I have a new computer.
Given: I like buying software on disk if possible.
Given: I've seen about a dozen copies of Portal 2 for sale in the last month or so.
Given: The perversity of the universe tends toward a maximum.

Result: Nowhere near me sells Portal 2 on disk any more.

Disks after a while don't work anymore. My Orange Box disk just tells Steam to download the games.

There's a way around that, according to this.

Let's talk about Disney Parks/Universal/Busch Gardens/Theme Parks. I liked the discussion about them earlier, Reep and I both have mods/games going that draw a bunch from (two different) parts of Disney stuffs, and they're just cool.

Talk, people.

But also um yeah I've only been to Disneyland and it was a while ago. All I remember is long lines, Space Mountain was cool, and walking around a lot. I don't have much to contribute here.
