My thoughts exactly. The jury's still out on whether or not I want to see it, though. I'm afraid it's going to ruin the book for me.

I don't know where you are, but in Britain, most of the time I've heard people talking about something ruining a book for them, it refers to it spoiling the plot for them. So, to clarify, how might it ruin it for you?

Usually if a see a movie based on a book I love, and the movie isn't all that great, it'll ruin the book for me. For instance, one of my favorite books is A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. I recently saw the movie that Disney made, and I'll never look at that book the same way again. The movie was HORRIBLE. I know Lionsgate is quite different from Disney, but still... I dunno. Maybe I'm just being paranoid.
