What is tolerable as mapper?

I've got a floor, which is not completed everywhere. I used squarebeams. But they have no collisionmodel, so I covered them with an invisible block. But then the weighed cubes used to stand in mid-air. So now I have the actual beams covered with vphysics clip. I want to know whether this is an adequate use of resources or if I should just leave it. Look here(I hid the player clip in the picture):

I dunno but I did that on my map, but no vphysics, just an invisible brush(like in the picture).

I like your solution, but I'd make a clip brush the same thickness in all places where your squarebeams are.

Hi,

I use thin Invisible brushes to do this like you have.

It's not very resource intensive and so I would keep it if it means cubes fall through.

Instead of lots of little brushes, I'd go for one single large brush instead. Unless there's any particular reason why you need these holes.

I do it will lots of little brushes so it seems more realistic, so objects can go through the holes etc, rather then just being blocked.

Obviously only on squarebeams that are within the players reach though...
