It says something about free for premium users or free for everyone, but does this mean we can get paid for our maps?

It's a part of the download mod that isn't used. There is a feature that limits how many files a user can download in a month, based on how many posts they have made in that time and so on. I think it's pretty dumb, and since one of the main functions of this site is map hosting, it would be entirely against the point.

It has nothing to do with money. No matter what you select, it always gets set to "free". I should probably just remove that field altogether.

Do it. Also I'm wondering if external should removed as well.

If someone wants to use an external download on the DLDB, then go for it. But people shouldn't make "release" threads and just link that way.
