TotalBiscuit on Windows 8 (Question 3)

Pretty much my thoughts as well. PC Gaming is getting thrown by the wayside by Microsoft, they want everything to be on Xbox or Tablets.

Good to hear that Office 2013 at least works well, but I see no reason to upgrade from my current version for the time being.

Ether Microsoft hired some stupid kid off the street, has enough money to print out 5 plates in spot color if they needed too, or the overall rules of logos is changing because of the internet. But really, If I wanted everything pure white, I would go to the OSX platform, I hate this sterile white, can never keep it clean.

The supposed reason they're making all their products simpler and white is because of goddamn tablets. Apparently no one is able to click a button that isn't 50 pixels wide and all one color, and also has text in calibri

But why they would change their logo around it, or for that matter apply it to their entire goddamned operating system is beyond me.

I can get XP/7/8 Pro, Vista Business, MS-DOS 6, Windows servers 2003/2008/2008R2/2012, SQL server 2008/2012 for free. And a bunch of other stuff as well, but I can't be bothered to list all 172.

Is that a microsoft employee benefit thing? Sounds like the kind of thing my dad had until just recently when his branch split off into a new company.

Sort of. Have you heard of Dreamspark? Because the university I'm studying with has some arrangement with Microsoft, I can get all of this stuff for free or cheaper than usual (mostly free I think) while I'm at the uni. I think you can get into it in a more limited way if you aren't at a college/university that has this arrangement, but I'm not sure. I'd recommend having a look into it - free stuff is always good (unless it's AIDS).
