nice idea but there are some things i dont like:
1. : its possible to solve it without the maze (just send the laser through the door and around the edge)
2. : one player doesnt really have something to do except of opening doors or turning on the laser
3. : if you try to plaze cubes in the maze you always push them around
Cheers for the feedback.
How did you manage to get the laser through the door? You can only have either the laser on or the doors open, not both.
I agree on the other points, although the second player is meant to guide the 'rat' player through the maze from his high vantage point, but I can see the point isn't high enough to see the maze clearly.
The doors were introduced to alleviate the bumping into placed cubes problem but it's obviously not enough, I may just make the corridors wider.
oh my goodness we loved this one. big labyrinth is just great. but one is very important to add: a fence on the plattform cause otherwise you can jump on the walls and find the laser goal much to easy. but we had a lot of fun guiding each other through the labyrinth. maybe you should make the plattform a bit higher and delete that door the leads directly to the laser goal. its much more fun if you need to lead the laser throught the hole labyrinth. but rly great work, wit hyour other coop map im starting to get a fan of you.
you can place the cubes behind the door and then one player stands on the one button and the other on the other button
You could do what bartsimpson94 says, or just hand a cube up to a player standing on the maze's wall. You need to crouch, the other player has to jump.
You can just jump down on the wall from the right pressure plate. Then the player who handed up the cube goes upstairs again, and you hand the cube over to him.
Hah, 1.5 hours? Usually I'd take that as a sign that it's too hard... But if you enjoyed it...
I'll fix up the stuff you mentioned by tomorrow.
Nice little map, but not challenging enough.
I'd like to see a mesh over the maze as we passed the boxes up to place them on the buttons. It would make it easier to run around on top of the maze checking your beams without having to worry all the time about falling back into the maze.
Jolly good fun! Thanks!
Hey there.
Good idea, but there are many tricky parts, where you can bypass the "normal" way.
solving
=> we solved the puzzle with 3 cubes (open door and active laser)
- please, try to prevent that easy solving...
=> and we solved it with all cubes and 2 portals
- that should be the normal way to solve that puzzle
bugs
=> you can fall of the map, because of missing walls at the back of the maze
- why are they even missing?
=> you can walk on the walls of the maze and can place the portals from there
- if you want the 2nd player to walk over the mace, place glas there...
suggestions
- make a door that opens to exit the map (not just a message)
- maybe try to use some hard-light bridge and some acid in the maze
Regards

I started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.
Maybe you are interested in the fact, that I played your map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFc2okRiWvI

I watched it all, that was really helpful thanks.
Personally i've gone off the idea of this map i've come to realise portal is about the solving stage of a puzzle.
Most of the time spent in portal is all about thinking about how to solve and execute a puzzle once you have done that the execution part is simple, however in this map solving it is really quick, most of the time spent is through execution. However I get the impression you like it so I will make the following improvements:
- Make it MUCH brighter (I must have had my monitor brightness really high when I made this :L)
- Make the maze corridors much wider.
- Allow access to the laser button and vantage point to only one player at a time.
- Remove the maze door. (There only purpose was to make navigation through the maze a little easier, I see that it can confuse players into thinking they're needed to solve the puzzle.)
- Put a mesh over the top of the maze.
- Various detailing and polish.
