Description

This my first map for Portal 2. Don't expect something very long or difficult, it was just me getting the hang of things. Judging from playtesters the difficulty is borderline easy/medium so I went with medium. Have fun and remember to give feedback here in this thread! I have to thank Omnicoder,Reepblue, and P0rtal2player for thier help and support. This has been out for awhile but I forgot to upload to ThinkingWithPortals. Sorry for the delay!

Was quite a nice map, however you should try to limit the files to just the bsp(and maybe readme)

Nice small map, however, whether through design or accidentally, the funnel is completely unnecessary, as is the angled platform that I assume you are supposed to use to launch towards the button

I use custom textures, so without handing you them you wouldn't be able to see it. I have had problems with Pakrat in the past so I can't just embed them in the BSP either.

bspzip should still work straight from the command line.

I started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.

Maybe you are interested in the fact, that I played your map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAifrigdibQ

About all the files - where do you put them all. I know where the bsp file goes but I also put all the other files in there as well. When I play it there are lots of flourescent pink squares, aren't those just fizzlers?

No! You should put the folders "maps" and "materials" in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2. Don't pick their contenst, just move the whole folders there.

Thumbs up for this.
Only minor gripe: the fling exercise failed by a few centimeters most of the times I tried. It requires quite a precise positioning of the portal on the floor and jumping into that portal rather than walking into it. But it's not unfair or over-complicated; it's just a bit un-Portal-ish.
