Hello, World! This is my first public release ever, however i've been mapping for a while This is a collection of maps that I started working on the day after I beat Portal 2 There are six tests, four of them are strung together, and two are... different. Hope you enjoy this! Please leave any comments, just be sure to tell me why you did/didn't like it. Thanks!

Oh... This was really really fun! The first three chambers were also very easy, but fun nonetheless. I like your use of the gel on light bridge mechanic before, hah. That's the first time I've seen it used in quite so many different ways. I'm /pretty/ sure I cheated on map 4 (that is, I moved to the side to avoid flying off, then threw my companion cube to interrupt the laser, then used the faith plate to fling to the top and press the button. Also, I had to execute a pixel-perfect grab-from-button for the companion cube from the upper ledge; not sure if it was supposed to be done that way.)
Otherwise, great map. Seriously, it was fun. xD
EDIT: Did 4 again, now I just made the companion cube touch the edge of the faith plate while I fell- it flew off and pressed the button. Was this the intended solution?
I liked the maps
Good work.
Level 4 was my favorite because I liked the way you designed the timing. I'm pretty sure I did the intended solution when I dropped the companion cube separately and manually moved the laser redirection box after the cube had passed the first light bridge.
I especially liked the light bridge in the first map. I noticed that you can re-orient the ground portal to create a light bridge at any angle ("roll" angle, assuming bridge comes out of portal on the x-axis) which I think has some potential.
One thing I did not like was that, in the 4th map, it is impossible to enter the last door if you're not holding the companion cube. It seems like you're walking into a player_clip or invisible wall. The player should be able to walk around in there, they just need the companion cube to press the button. But if you don't let them even enter the room, it looks like the map is broken and the player doesn't know what to do because they'll think "well, even if I brought the companion cube up here, it won't do me any good; I still won't be able to walk through this door." So, they end up spending way too much time trying to figure out how to place a portal inside.
Finally, the extra maps were... different. I liked the use of linked_portal_door, but I'm still not entirely sure how that last room is supposed to work.
The first three were fun, at the one with the lgihtbridge and blue gel was a little bug though, once you died and reloaded your save the blue gel that you placed before was gun.(or is this a mistake in the actual ame too?)
but i couldn't solve the4th map, because it seems like you could only solve it with VERY precice cube throwing, or saving-loading a few hundread times. I tried every normal way, none worked.
I tried the extra map, but the very precise timing with no room for error was just too much for me and i gave up quite fast.
Thanks for the feedback so far everyone, I really do appreciate it.

Fixed that in the update, not sure what was going on there, or how I overlooked it. Thanks!

Video of the intended solution for that part if you (or anyone else) is interested

-I couldn't recreate that bug on my own, if anyone else is having this problem let me know

-Yeah I normally don't like these maps either, making them is pretty fun though
Thanks again everyone for the feedback
Definitely be expecting more from me
P.S. How do you use the Youtube tags?
Haha, god, it looks like I somehow managed to find every solution except the intended one. xD
Oh, also- Extra map was fun as hell. Great job on all the maps!
Really loved the extra maps, but you need to find a way to deactivate portal shadow (the part when you can see your portal behind a wall), or you'll se some strange shadows when you change gravity.
nice maps, thanks! loved the extra one, the one with plate flying
also, i don't have 2 textures from the 4th chamber..
Ample scope, but uneven quality. Isn't map 2 buggy as hell? Commendable with (few) reserves.
Odd, the textures didn't get packed in but the sounds did.
Will fix that next update.
Not sure which map it was in (4?) inspired by the portal trick throwing vids on youtube by Schrodinger, I launched on the first faith plate with teh cube and angled so I landed next to the 2nd faith plate then I threw the companion cube down to block the beam and jumped on the faith plate to finish the flight up.
Also glitched once where I jumped off the companion cube which gained me a tiny bit of height and let me hit the 3rd faith plate over the hard light bridge. To get up there, but the level glitched and when I pressed the button the first hard light bridge turned back on and I couldn't get back up with either cube so I had to restart.
And I had to find a mouse pad cause my coffee table texture wouldn't give me a fine enough surface to do your extra map...
great stuff!
ther 4 standard maps weren't too hard but a bit of fun... I also didn't have the textures in 4...
The bonus map was good fun too! great for practising placing portals while flying through the air
took me many tries, but quite a few of them were figuring out which portal to put where and when
I hope to see more maps
The first 4 maps are enjoyable and fun to play. The precise timing in the 4th map is great. But the extra maps are extremely difficult and I'm discouraged trying to put portals while in the air.
I spotted a bug in chamber 3. When you press the blue-gel button, some parts of the walls somehow change their color. And two of the textures in chamber 4 is also missing...
Excellent map, though. So I gave you 5/5. I'm expecting more maps!
I think my solution was different to everyone else's for number 4. I aimed the laser through two portals to hit the target and fired a portal at the ceiling panel mid-flight after I hit the second faith plate. One part I found slightly annoying was the light bridge wall jump part. That part wasn't really a puzzle, just more of a race. There's a couple of bugs I should point out. A texture is missing, clearly seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsQDYfJPVBA&feature=youtu.be&t=1m10s and when I accidentally launched the cube on a faith plate that was mostly obscured by a light bridge, the laser turned off, but a light bridge remained. Forcing me to restart. Overall, I rank the puzzles 5/5. Good work.
I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

Very nice. I especially like how the maps are segmented out into several different files instead of trying to stuff them all into one huge laggy map. I wish more people would do that. A couple quick gripes though, I don't know if I solved the 4th test the right way or not. I kept getting trapped cause the wcc would get caught on the second hard light surface, hit the faith plate and land on the button which would reactivate the first hard light surface and deactivate the first laser. But then pushing the button to respawn the wcc doesn't reactivate the first laser so you're stuck. I beat it by letting it get caught on the second hard light surface, hitting the wall faith plate and then racing to the floor faith plate before it lands on the button. Is that the intended solution? My second gripe is with the first extra test though it's really more of a suggestion. If you're going to have a trial and error type test like that then why not make it so the floor will just drop you back off at the first faith plate and close your portals? Or maybe a simpler way would be to put the first faith plate at the lowest point in the room and slope all the walls so if you fail a portion of that jump, you'll slide to that point. Emancipation fields will keep people from skipping parts of that jump. In other words, less loading screens please. Just a thought.
