I'm not quite sure what the one laser catcher was for - the one that seemed to be at the wrong height to hit with the laser. Also, it's possible to lose your cube irretrievably by portaling next to the entry door and then shoving the cube through the door - an emancipation grill just behind the entry door would fix that.

Other than that, it was a fun map, I enjoyed it.

Nice Job. I really liked this map. The Puzzle was good. Keep up the good work.

Nice map but kindof weird - when I tried to throw the cube from the platform where it's dropped over to the one with the button it seems to hit an invisible wall, which made me think you wanted player to find another way of transporting it over there, but I could throw it from the portal surfaces on the other side of the fence. Somehow that didn't seem like the intended solution, but I couldn't find another one. Oh well. Nice work on the graphics and such.

For a long time I thought that the inactive laser emitter was a laser catcher lol couldn't figure out how to hit it, stupid me for not being able to tell the difference i guess.. and then the other laser catcher in the back can't be hit by the first laser (wrong height) so I thought there was 2 meaningless catchers and kindof thought the entire map was screwed up. Maybe adding an indicator strip from the button to the second laser emitter would help though

It was a good map, nicely detailed as well. I recorded some demos you can watch.

I also got confused with that inactive laser emitter . And I died because I really though that one faith plate would catapult me to ceiling

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

Nice map but I was able to jump into the alcove in the wall in between the cube spawn and the pressure plate making the button in front of the entrance unnecessary. Was this intentional?

Rich and detailed short map in Broken style, the rarest. Could have been more atmospheric: all those lights, neons and fizzler might be loud. Or maybe it's the general functionality of the room, divided into smaller islands - each an hot spot.

Difficulty is another story: the puzzle network comes apart with alarming ease. Take a wrench and torque the hell out of these:

Pretty cool map. Solved it what I'm pretty sure was the intended way.I didn't see a place to put the laser that it did not light up. There was a laser emitter that I thought was a receiver at first, then I realized it was an emitter after I found the button for it.

Very nice -- nice atmosphere and detailing, and fun puzzle. A couple of "wait, how do I...oh, duh" moments (that's good ).

I had a couple of minor pieces of feedback; tweaks, really. Some of these are subjective, so take or leave as you see fit.

First Chamber (where the broken sign is):
The side wall closest to the entry door feels really tight, and causes a somewhat awkward jog to the right when moving through the following door. Possibly widen the sign room a bit?

Main Room:

  • The indicator lights from your button to the faith plate and the exit door seem rather twisty. It's possible that's the effect you wanted, but seems like they could take much straighter paths from the button to the target entities.

  • Related to that, shouldn't there be indicator lights going from the button to the second inactive faith plate as well?

  • Wonder if you should tweak some of your symbols by the puzzle elements a bit. I might match up the symbol on each laser emitter with the one on the catcher, rather than putting the symbol on the portal surface. So maybe put a moon next to the first emitter, removing it from the panel. Change the "X" on the second emitter to the triangle, then remove the triangle from the panel (leaving it in place on the emitter).

The reason I say this is that putting symbols on the surfaces seems a little too explicit -- I think part of the fun in a puzzles is having to figure out how to get Thing A to Point B. I wonder if that might also help w/ the issue I and others were having recognizing the inactive emitter really is an emitter, not a catcher.

  • Also wondered from a thematic standpoint if the lightbridge at the end should be converted to moving panels, to match how the first laser catcher builds its bridge. Or vice versa. Just so that similar functions are executed in similar ways.

Like I said, these are super minor, and subjective. Overall, very nice puzzle!

I enjoyed playing this map, except for the timed run to the first faith plate. That's just not my cup of tea. Thanks for leaving room by the faithplate to set the portals, because shooting while flying is definitely not my strength. Good looks, too. 4/5 from me.
