very nice map, next time mabe rar it, becouse its realy big. puzzels are easy but fun. add some more textures and coloring mabe, and a little more lights here and there! i like your style, it plays a littlebit like normal singleplayer, with the musik und the sound qoutes.
i liked the suprise part !
at the end where you have to build the bridges, you have to change that, with the long walk all the way back to go do the other portal that leads you to the exit

but found no bugs, keep it up 4/5

Very good map, textures sound etc all good and it all worked. Map puzzles at the easy-med level. Continue harder chambers - maybe? Still all good Thanks for mapping.

Very entertaining map, I don't think faith plates are used enough and I love flying through the air. The second map took me awhile till I figured out how to shoot the cubes at the turrets.

This may be the best map I've ever seen! Keep up the good word.

I found one "bug": In the beginning of the android chamber, you can portal a light bridge and jump from it to knock down all the androids. That makes solving the chamber a lot easier.

Honestly, this is fantastic. I can't believe maps of this caliber are coming out one day after the SDK release...

Great chambers, I enjoyed them

I only noticed one issue: GLaDOS says the same quote twice, once at the end of chamber 3 and another time at the beginning of chamber 4.

An honest job, no frills but quite long. Nothing you'd write home about, but positive and nowhere as vicious as certain other badly designed puzzles.

Thanks for the comments, It is nice to get some feedback!

This is my first portal 2 map (or portal for that matter). I just wanted to get a feel for the new SDK features, how it worked etc. I may release a V1.1 in the future but am currently I am working on a number of med-hard coop chambers and a coop-hub to load them from.
I'll keep you posted.

A great map indeed. I passed the test without having any trouble. A little bit easy of course. I'm looking forward to some harder maps. Thanks for mapping~~

I started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.

Maybe you are interested in the fact, that I played your map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMxHyE2fGoY

I can't seem to finish the map (stuck in room 2). Here are some issues that I ran into

- If you finish room one really quickly and grab the dual portal gun before Glados finishes talking for the first time, she won't announce you've picked it up until you revisited the spot where the gun is on the ground about 10-15 seconds later

- I got stuck in room 2, where you first enter and you are supposed to fling yourself to the other side. The wall right on top of the bouncy plate (forgot its name sorry) won't allow me to shoot a portal on it for some reason.

Why is it that the gel in the first room appears to not stick to the wall? The section of wall that should have gel on it does start holding portals, but in watching a video walk through on this map, the gel is showing up for that player.

Great map, nice and easy, I enjoyed it. Perfect for my daughter to play.

The room with the turrets I completed without using the button or the faith plates, what were those for? Didn't need the vertical light bridge either. Just put a portal on the ceiling near the turret ledge, fall out of it while moving toward the turret ledge, and then land on it and knock them all over.

In the small side room with the faith plate that shoots at the ceiling so you can make it over the slime, I often had a lot of trouble putting a portal over the faith plate. It sometimes acted like that wasn't a legal surface for a portal. If I kept trying it would eventually work.. Once I passed through the emancipation grid and tried again and then it worked.

I don't know if this is your problem, but in the past when playing really dark maps, I turned on mat_fullbright. That made gels invisible yet functional. I can't imagine why you would turn that on in this map, it is very well lit.

I really enjoyed playing this map. It looked a little plain, except for some Portal 1 era materials in an otherwise Portal 2 era atmosphere. It was well lit, something my poor old eyes really appreciate.

The puzzles were fairly simple, yet enough fun to execute that I didn't find it wanting for more difficulty.

I most appreciate the length of the map, and the variety among rooms. Paradoxically, I didn't like the length of some of the rooms, because I was trudging around quite a bit just due to their size.

Almost, but not quite excellent, I gave this 4/5.

Ah, that might be it. I had that setting on for the map I was playing before I tried this one. I'll try again with that off.

Thanks!

Very good, especially considering how long ago this was made.

I liked the "Don't push the button" bit. Of course, I pushed it, and was duly punished.

The sheer size of some of the rooms meant a lot of time spent walking without doing anything. The puzzles were not at all difficult. Getting the timing right in the "catch the sphere" room was frustrating, especially since the autosave point is before you actually enter the room.

4/5 from me.
