Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBXi522lxes Walkthrough: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4faC7-DkYQM Just a short map based around fans and pneumatics. It's shorter than I would of liked it too be, but my brain was broken and I couldn't think of any more good puzzle ideas to do with fans.

combining fans with gels (not conversion can be messy) would also be pretty good so take a look into it.
Thanks for the map, i love the fans. There were 1 or 2 points where i was exhilarated with the feeling of flying around, i think a map built on doing lots of that would be great, with having to change portals mid air or something at high speed
An interesting spin on game mechanics, if you'll pardon the pun.
The buliding momentum timing took me a while to get, but not so long that I got frustrated.
One thing I didn't understand, which may or not be a bug:
In the final room, where you build momentum to push yourself through the ceiling, even though I had another portal on the opposite ceiling, I never fell trhough the hole, even though I was absolutely on the other side of the portal. I only got through it when I closed the first portal behind me by firing another after I was through the hole.
EDIT: I'm playing through older maps, and saw that I had not rated this one, so I replayed it. The lighting wasn't a problem this time, and the portal problem mentioned above didn't happen when I came out of the wall instead of the ceiling. This mechanic gives me the same fits as bouncy gel, but it's a lot more fun to do. I was going to give this 3 before, but despite the plain looks, I enjoyed playing it enough to give it 4.
Like the previous guy said, nice spin on the game mechanics... but this map is incredibly boring. There is no detail in the map at all. You've used the same two textures on all the walls, feels like I am playing it inside hammer. Would probably be a good WIP release.
Interessting. I didn't really get how to build momentum tho.
If you combine that concept with traditional puzzles, mayb some to eventually enable/disable the fans that could be really nice.
I'll also vote a 3/5. But you get 5/5 for creativity on the fans, the malus is for lighting and boring style.
Tips/Ideas:
After the first fling over the first toxic pit an autosave would be nice, dying in the second pit makes you play the first obstacle again.
The room with the cubes and the turrents could easily be complicated a little by putting the "sucker" behind bars or something similar so the player is forced to put the cube through a portal to get it to the other side.
It's a good thinktank map, but Delta Bunsen did it all already. Looks may be spartan, but that's not the point of the project. Gameplay wise, imho: pushing items with wind, taxi vents worked; dying in vents, building momentum while jumping did not.
About that, consider the maps broken for anyone with the hints disabled: some billboard could help.

My thought exactly, and the other mapper did it with panache and style.
Not to mention Fans were also in Blue Portals (Portal 1) as well, but they more acted like the faith plates.
I enjoyed the map, but didn't quite understand how the control button effected the fan behavior. I eventually got the hang of it sort of, but would like some clarification on what exactly it does.
