Description

A single co-operative test chamber and my first. This is also the first map i've ever made to completion, this single co-op chamber should not be too hard to beat for anyone with a good sense of lateral thinking (or sign reading). This is the product of a bet I made to myself to be able to finish a map properly and will hopefully be the first of many. This test chamber is set in the ruined Aperture facility and revolves around the Aerial Faith Plate, Repulsion Gel and Excursion Funnel, among others. Compared to the later co-op test chambers this isn't too hard, but good luck anyway! (So named for Dant?'s Inferno) http://www.youtube.com/v/SRJUQxQ06RY&hl ... &version=3

Hello? Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone home?

nod

very cool map, nice looks, the puzzles feel polished. A little easy though.
Keep up the good work.

Pleasant map of moderate difficulty, the brainy kind. Suggested.

Thanks for the feedback guys, next I might try making a behind the scenes map like in the finale of Portal 2 since there don't seem to be very many of those yet.

Nice map, have enjoyed it. Have found one glitch (minor one): you can create portals under the button on the "second floor".

And, also, couldn't find any cube dispensers on the map.

Oh damn it, I noticed that glitch before and then forgot about it. I noticed that lots of buttons scattered throughout the game had white platforms underneath them, but you can't shoot portals at them. How does that work? Is it the texture?

And the cube dispenser wasat the top of the map near the "balcony", the cubes drop from a dropper in the wrecked ceiling.

Without that "bug", we would have gotten stuck in that basin. How about a white wall nearby?

Oh, then you missed out the biggest puzzle of the chamber if you did that. There was a reason for the hole in the bottom of the room, only one of you is supposed to actually go into it to get the cube out.

I probably should try to fix that somehow.

And if 2 get inside, should they be stuck? Anyway we got out and then only one returned there.

For a first completed map this is really really fun dude, very impressed, hope you keep making them. Love that you used loads of different dynamics in the level, it made it interesting to play and it was a nice medium difficulty map.

Here's a play through showing our enjoyment (and some stupid deaths). (You probably don't want to watch this if you haven't completed this map yet)

Wow, it's really interesting watching other people playing through your map. Thanks for the review guys! Having rewatched it i've only just noticed how badly aligned the indicator strips are, and the chamber exit is very hidden away, I should probably have made it clearer where the exit is.

Cheers guys.

I started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.

Maybe you are interested in the fact, that I played your map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCz3O6L2470

Thanks, I noticed that a lot of the time was spent searching for a way into the chamber at the top of the level, I definitely should have made the portal-able panel clearer.

Very nice map. But it seems, the cube on the wall, near the bottom funnel, doesn't respawn when it is destroyed accidently. This should be fixed.

Hey there! I know it's been quite a while since this map was released, but I did want to share a video playthrough of it just in case you're still interested.

We get kind of... picky in our review at the end, but that's just a habit of ours. Hopefully you like our in-depth comments, hehhh

Yeah it's very interesting watching you play this first map.

However, the suicide/noclip thing was not the way to do the puzzle. There was a reason you could not kill yourself there which links in the puzzle. The whole point was that one of the players could not get out the room without the use of blue gel, the grate in the floor has a purpose.

I do definitely appreciate your feedback though, my mapping is certainly better than this now as you can tell from the God awful texture alignment

More LPs would be appreciated, thanks guys.

I didn't notice this post, thanks for playing through it. You managed to get an alternate way up to the top level, you were supposed to fire gel from the angled panel and then bounce off of it using the faith plate. I was almost frustrated watching you stare at for five minutes

I might remake this map using the new editor now I think about it..
