as i always say, a good puzzle doesn't need to look very good. it was a fun map, although the cube throwing can be a bit annoying. thankfully you just needed to touch the last one. landing would have been a frustrating task.

I wasn't sure if it was because I spent hours testing it, but I did too find the cube throwing annoying. Although I found it rewarding when I got the hang of it. As for it looking good, I believe that was my last priority. So I guess that's a good thing lol.. Thanks for the comment!
Unplayable and frustrating, an entire map based on ugly play. Not glitches nor exploits: just the ugly stuff people normally try to avoid.
Sorry, never got the hang of cube throwing in P-2 environment, certainly not far enough to consistently get out of room 1. Guess I need remedial cube throwing.... Can't play the rest of your map - not advanced enough...

Thanks for the comment!
on blue 3 can u make it a bit harder LOL, once i learned the cube tossing this whole map was dead ez lol, ps it took me 10 mins to throw the cube after that everything else was simple.
some ideas for next map, harder bridges??? more cubes??? more rooms??? more gravity beam thingys. some portal trick to reach bridges and beams or cubes?
love the maps tho keep em coming?
thanks XD

Hahaha thanks for the comment. I won't be making anymore maps that involve cube throwing because the majority of people get frustrated with it. My next maps will be more professional and will be named Red just because in terms of heat it is opposite of Blue lol. They will not contain cube throwing.. sorry ):
wth, thats cuz ppl here suck at the game. i never knew what cubing throwing was and i still managed to beat the map in about 20 mins on a blind run.
come on man, i dont think we should let the newbs ruin our fun. if they dont know what cube throwing is someone should make a video on it.
i could see some crazy maps with this system.

Hmmm, I might give it another try but first I am going to finish the one I started. I just find it annoying that someone like me could spend so much time making a map and then some person will give it a bad rating just because they haven't spent enough time practicing. For example, just because you may suck at a certain sport doesn't mean it's a bad sport.
Thanks for the motivation
Cube throwing isn't skill, it's luck. It isn't a Portal puzzle, there's a reason Valve had no puzzles based on it, because it wasn't fun.

It is obvious to me that you suck at throwing cubes. Btw who said that it was meant to be a portal puzzle? It is just merely a way to challenge us cube throwers. A lot of the stuff out there is repetitive, so including cube throwing adds to the possibilities.
if it reqs luck well dam im lucky LOL i made the cube shots every time i try. to solve this puzzle u throw the cube to knock out the LOVE cube falling. the rest is simple looking down- throw upwards motion, this doesnt req ANY luck at all. with 10-20 of practice you be able to master it.
jeez man, shooting portals WHILE flying thru the air is harder than this.
i wish this guy didnt quit. i was hoping for more challanges, his maps are only ones that make me come back to portal.
i wish he made a CO-OP map using this system aka throwing cubes over a wall to the team mate. this system has so much potential. plus this game is still new LOL what do u expect.
I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

Since I play with a controller, I knew that cube tossing wasn't going to happen for me, and I just accepted I would have to noclip such parts. Having done that, the puzzle itself wasn't that difficult, but quite a few finishing touches would have helped.
In particular, this needs a lot of info_placement_helpers. I had to repeat many steps many times just because I couldn't quite get the portal in the right spot. Catching myself on the angled lightbridge, and lifting the cube with the lightbridge both took too many tries. I fell off the side of the platform with the funnel inside it and got stuck, that needs to be closed to the wall. The little hoppy steps and cube pass-through were annoying and not needed.
Some people may hate the cube-tossing mechanic, but I think that so long as you make it clear in the description, it's fair game. It's all the rest of the little problems that keep this from being a good map, but it had enough good ideas to get 3/5 from me.

I appreciate the video. I never cared for cube tossing, but after watching this video I think I'll give it another try.
By the way, I've heard talk about the Xbox play being easier than the PC, due mainly to use of the controller. For me its like cake: It's a lie.
Loved the map! I found cube tossing to be nearly impossible for me. Never could get the hang of it, so yes, I cheat using noclip. That said, I really enjoy watching others do the puzzle. There some real talent out there. Keep up the good work, both map makers and players!
