This looks very similar to the map Valve gave us in the SDK maps folder as an example. Just sayin'

I download the map at once when I see the thumbnail showing old aperture. And this map didn't let me down. Although a little bit easy, it is brilliant. One little flaw is that it seems difficult to jump across the pit(need very accurate placement of portal).
In general, it's splendid. I give you 5/5. Be sure to make more old aperture maps!!

Map building isn't bad at all, but some of the jumps might be excessively close calls. Dying 6 times with the platform 2 inches away from you was disappointing.

What kept happening for me, is that in specific spots before really big jumps, I kept getting a speed boost out of the portal. Much bigger than usual, and in both directions: so if I failed the jump and crawled back, it would propel me to death the other way.

Same thing happened to me at the long jump. Died twice, third jump worked despite being no different than the other 2.

Map is fun, the puzzles are a little on the easy side, looks decent, overall good job.

You can shoot a portal to the lowest level right after you step out of the elevator, skipping a bit of the puzzle.

I thought it was a balanced map, and of course it looked great. Having read the previous posts, I was able to make both big jumps several times without issue. In the room where you use the blue gel "ladder" method to climb the walls, I did bounce up to the landing above and then bounce right over the railing a few times. Good times.

Thank you for the map!

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

Usually, I try to have something constuctive to say about a map. For me, this one is just fine, even playing with a controller. I liked the look, a little more Cave wouldn't hurt the sound, and the reuse of puzzle elements was thoughtful. An easy 4/5 from me.

Fun map, great puzzles and you get bonus points in my book for using the 1940s theme. I wish there was a lot more tests that used that theme. It's so much fun. Anyways beautiful test. 5/5
