Description
So i have been working on some kinda horror map... So the idea is: You just escaped from GLaDOS and now you are walking around in the observation rooms, trying to get out. You notice that she got a new test subject. You get flashbacks from the tests the person is doing. This is not a hard testing map. Only made for creeping you a little... Put on your headphones or turn up you volume a little. Go explore. Maybe you find small eastereggs... (I haven't finished up the eastereggs yet.) There is both a winning and a losing way... Now go explore the back of Aperture... Enjoy

This is the type of map I like, instead of concentrating on creating a map with just puzzles, you have gone a little bit further in creating a map with a bit of atmosphere.
Maybe next time you could create one with a bit of a mission/story to it, but over all a nice change to the standard maps we see.
nice map idea!
ran into a few issues: The first time I solved the map I missed the autosave for some reason.
Maybe add a logic_autosave that is triggered by the same trigger that triggers the teleport?
I didn't find any balls I could use in the final part.
The cake dispenser is very nice!!
My console kept spawning this though:
!! ERROR: bad input/output link:
!! logic_timer(logic_timer,RefireTime) doesn't match type from logic_timer(logic_timer)
Needs a bit more work, but it's still a great map!
Yea i'm not that good using logic_timer. The timer triggers a random sound, and when it does it also refires itself. I did that to make the background noises. But It just comes up with that error...
Didn't find a ball? Well I can't paint it out for you
I broke your map. I had to listen to glados talk about 15 times because I kept spawning in that chair room So I gave up.
Sneaky.... Found the ball.... "I can't paint it out for you" .. didn't even understand what that meant until I found the ball..lol Nice mapping. 5/5

Lol glad you understood my little riddle there

I dont know how that could happen. But the map is made by a LOT of triggers, teleporters, and other stuff so yea it might break... im sorry
I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

Quicksave in Gladosroom?
Interesting map. Sort of like the Portal nightmares I have after playing one of Jonatan's maps all night.
I got stuck in the floor with the ball, I think because I had moved the chair out of reach.
There were a couple of incomprehensible deaths, perhaps as the result of some timer. I died just standing in the little hallway over the grinder. I died just standing in the room with the turrets.
And I still can't remember how I ended up in the cake dispensary the first time.
So very much like a nightmare, my progress through this map didn't make sense. So if that was what you were going for, you nailed it. I can't say I enjoyed playing this map, any more than I can say I enjoy watching horror movies. But for all the mappers that have tried to create a horror level, I think you've done the best job yet. 4/5.

I love the relation you show up here

I'm glad you think that... The problem is that horror is made by, shocks, sounds and something that is not supposed to be... The 2 first needs a lot of teleporters, triggers, fades, shakes, logics, and ambient generics. That takes up a lot of space and may crash the map...
Also, there is no quicksave in the gladosroom... You must have done it yourself...
I think I broke the map even faster than baca25. After starting in an observation room I solve the two laser puzzle in the room below, then reappear in the observation room, then solve the same puzzle again, then reappear in the observation room, then enter the hallway and things go dark. Then an infinite loop: the console appears briefly, I reappear in the two laser test room and see someone already there, I take one step and appear back in the observation room, enter the hallway, things go dark, repeat.
This is what the console showed:SAVEGAME: 7.3kb, 0.0kb used by 92 entities (observating)
Redownloading all lightmaps
!! ERROR: bad input/output link:
!! logic_timer(logic_timer,RefireTime) doesn't match type from logic_timer(logic_timer)
!! Oh... i guess my map is very easy to break... well my next horror map will be a bit more simple (in hammer) so it won't break that easy
Not bad. Definitely scared the crap out of me several times (especially the part with the crusher). My only real complaint is that in the part with the sphere, near the end, it's very easy to trap yourself, and it gets annoying having to take the sphere through that crawly-space.
So i have been working on some kinda horror map...
