Description

"Abgrund" is German and means "abyss". You will see the end room from the starting point, but there's an abyss. You have to get over somehow ... The maps is set somewhere in the 1960s. Not really big, but some tricky puzzles. Some screenshots (maybe they contain spoilers, so be careful): 1. http://files.homepagemodules.de/b29324/ ... 77n273.jpg 2. http://files.homepagemodules.de/b29324/ ... 77n274.jpg 3. http://files.homepagemodules.de/b29324/ ... 77n275.jpg 4. http://files.homepagemodules.de/b29324/ ... 77n276.jpg Thanks to Flo2912 for helping with the design.

Map was ok, could improve on the looks - we had a hard time spreading the white gel properly - liked the humor - puzzle was rather simple - overall 4/5. A little too short. Thanks for making!

Hey dude,

a little cutoff for speedruns!

Cutoff:
mnbpz4Trb48
If you like it and/or it helps: THUMBS UP

Sorry for the litte cut ...wasn't successfully at the first try!
The gameplay will come later ...we had graphic bugs, which were clientsided I think! Therefore we play your map later again... sorry.

pS: finds irgendwie klasse, dass du der map einen deutschen Namen gegeben hast! ^^

Nice video! Thanks for playing the map!

The puzzle with the white gel is much easier than you made it. I've made a step-by-step solution in five screenshots:

Everything is easy when you know the answer! Our solution for the gel was similar, but involved swapping portals between the wall and the floor. Just because we figured it out doesn't mean we felt any satisfaction at having done so. Slathering gel around isn't a puzzle, it's a chore. Not to mention the fact that the other player has absolutely nothing to do in the meantime. Considering the lack of other puzzle elements, this map was a dud. Both playability and visibility were poor. Just barely 3/5 from us.

To add to my brother KennKong's comments:

This map wasn't all that bad, but we have seen a lot better. This one could be much better if there was more actual cooperation required instead of having one player with nothing to do (much of the time) except stand around and wait while the other bashes away at a puzzle.

In my opinion, a really good coop puzzle requires both players to participate in the solution. I would have been a lot happier with this map if both players had to work together to get the gel where it needed to be.

I was also not thrilled that there was no indicator to show how the final laser target related to the other elements in the room. I'm not a fan of "mystery targets" -- the ones that make you think, "OK, it's there, so I guess I'd better trigger it.", then have to guess and/or wander around all over the place trying to figure out what effect it had.

That was probably refering to:

and that does make sense.
