Hi, mate!

Really nice map you have there. It's really hard to solve, especially the first chamber. I didn't do that because I was in a hurry but I did play the rest. I may play it in a day or two.

BUG: In the part whre you have to paint the way to the ending elevator (in the crusher room) there is something (maybe a disaligned block) like a bump on the way to the elevator where you just get stuck and then crushed.

Overall a really good level for experienced players. Beautiful design. But maybe the transition form Broken Aperture theme to New Aperture theme is a bit fast. a 8/10 from me. If you'll fix the bug I will give you a 9. I know this map is part of a pack so I'll try to play the others (maybe tomorrow).

Really want to see more levels by you.

By the way: I thnk you said in the readme file that you don't have Portal 2 (not shure). If you hurry then it's 50% off the next few hours on Steam. I know it's a little bit late but I just finnished the map.

Best regards,

Hi there, completed both of your maps and i've been a bit disappointed by the supposed hard one

it is really too short, once you do the triple portal swap, the map is pretty much over

the second chamber was fine, but really easy in my opinion, i didnt even need to do the full jump to reach the end, i jump in front of the crushers, i wait till they crush in front of me, i autorun on it, THE END

Some good ideas overall but it's already been seen, and in a better way imo. "deja-vu"

Keep working !

I gave a 3.

Nice maps, not really hard to solve... fist map took a few tries to get the mechanics down, but all was pretty obvious. Second map was also really straight forward and easy to solve.. no puzzle there, just more mechanics.

Only potential bug is when on the light bridge preparing to do fling, it's really hard to place the portal on the floor.. took me like 15 shots with the gun before one appeared.
other than that, I didn't see anything that stuck out.

May not have been a good idea to place the light bridge directly in the center of the portal as you did. While it does direct you to find an alternative route out of the chamber, I think it might make it too obvious as once you're off the beam you can't get back on..

All in all nice mapping.

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

Wow, that map looked like a e3 map. Not the light bridge one, that was good.

I probably didn't solve this as intended. I jumped near the middle jump plate without activating it. Then portaled the light bridge, then used the jump plate and landed on the light bridge.. From that point it was just a matter of finding where to go next.

I also have this problem. It's like two feet after I land there is this part of the ground that is ever so slightly misaligned and causes my to get smashed.

Ys_science_fun_2a is yet another remake of the E3 propulsion gel map, iirc the fourth uploaded on the site. Honestly built, but nothing special against competitors which added a slew of other puzzles to the basic ramp run. Check this step on the ramp which can you glitch you midway, and the lightning on these textures.

The other is a more contrasted case: built professionally in decay, nice to look at but frustrating to play. That fling seriously needs some fine tuning, as it can take several deaths just to reach the second catapult without hitting its borders. Of course you will fail soon afterwards when you will be informed of the puzzle by dying - tbh I would target the first catapult toward the second, so that missing just bounces you back to square one.

I agree completely. Being flung back doesn't take as much time as dying and reloading, and it just seems unnecessary to have it if it's not used. Fun little map though!

Edit: I see from watching Djinn's video that it can potentially be used if you use the panel on the ceiling above it. Most people seem to stop on the platform to reset the bridge portal, then carry on, using the ceiling panel to stop their momentum. Because I'm not very bright, I did it all mid-flight. I shot a horizontal bridge a bit above me to smack into its side to stop my flight, then shot one to catch me. Same difference really. In any case, I still think it should be the target for the first.

I liked the look of the first chamber, if not the gameplay. I'm not good at shooting while flying (or standing still, for that matter.) At least I could land beside the first catapult, otherwise I never would have been able to complete it. The exit by sneaking into another testchamber was a good idea.

The final chamber was another not quite working attempt to recreate that level. I'll just pretend you didn't do that, and give the first one 3/5. It was well made enough for a 4, but the shortness and learn-by-dying gameplay knocked it down for me.
