Description

This map was inspired by Rube Goldberg machines. There are basically two parts: opening the door and getting through the door. There are at least two ways to do Part 2. I'd love to hear what you guys think about it. Please let me know what you thought of the difficulty and if it took a short, medium, or long amount of time to finish. .vpk files go in the "portal 2/portal2/addons" folder. Do "map ReactionPit" in the game. Also, check out my web site about game development and graphics coding at http://www.dissidentlogic.com.

Thanks for the input, guys. I'll add some of those yellow dots to indicate which buttons/triggers activate what, hopefully without giving away too much.

I'm curious how long it takes people to complete. I'd also like to know what you thought of the difficulty. Any info on that would be greatly appreciated.

Bizarrely built single room, crowded with test elements you are supposed to activate in a chain reaction, but will actually break through unawarely. Technical side's severely lacking and spurious structures leave uncertain - like the box of walkable laserfields.

No indicators whatsoever (dotted lines, signs) leave you confused about what's coming next, which turns out to be finding the "last" of the switches laying in the open. My suggestion is to try and failsafe the intended solution from shortcuts as much as you can.

When I start this map, the screen bleeds into all white except for the elements. When you look around, the elements blur. Unplayable, 1/5.
