Description

Ok there are 4 test chambers in this map. You got cubes from each chamber to combine them in a laser puzzle and solve. This is easy and short to say but i die in this map a lot of time. I?m shure you have to think a moment how to get the cubes out of the chambers. No trick, cheat or secrets to find, just logic thinking... a lot of logic thinking. But don?t be silly by thinking, because you have to jump with faith plates and beams or use lightwalls and using paints, so you have to do many things^^. One thing i?m sorry. Once The cube in test chamber 3 stopped as i play because of some wired places (corners). I think it could happen in your gaming, but just reset the cube, it?s easy. And please write....

Well, I played a few incarnations of this when it was a WIP... A few issues here that are really frustrating and simply not needed... First and probably most annoying is splatting on the wall.. really? The first time it was mildly annoying.. Just put up a light bridge but when I'm trying to get blue gel where it needs to go to complete the level, I bang against it and die.... At that point I just quit. I know what the solution is, and how to execute, but I'm not going to screw around with it anymore. Second, in the ramp room (#3), the cube really needs to re-spawn automatically if it drops in toxic stuff.. Third.. emancipation grid in the final room.. Why??? and on a timer no less? Doesn't make it any more challenging, it just makes it take longer.

Solution to room #2 was clever.

3.5/5 for the splatting and fizzler walls

Ok, please from now on can we just update the original file and not spam the recent maps list with newer incarnation of this.

Splating on the wall...why not? you just have to shoot the other portal to the ceiling and go where the blue paint falls. The timed fizzler walls just stop you bringing the cubes through portals. You have right with point 2. i have to make the cube in chamber three re-spawn automatic.

Ok. i get it. from now i update the oringinal map without re-naming.

Your best rendition of this map. It didn't lag for me like the others did. Also, I needed to use all the elements in the map to solve it. I liked the turrets instead of the lasers in the long hallway. After I solved the laser puzzle and opened the exit I decided to try and kill all the turrets for fun. I was able to do it but it took me a few tries. All this being said, it is time to move on and create a completely new map. Keep on mapping and I will keep testing. 5/5 from me

after my previous playtrough of your WIP version i tried this new version - you've done some important fixes (like, the fate plate launching you into the blue funnel) - as well as some unintended stuff you could do.

I could, however, still do the first room without the funnel, see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xA6P6ZORzg That also includes my solution to the new element in the second room, it seems intended, but it might not be so just a heads up for that.

My solutions to room 3 and 4 are pretty much equal, im just stuck with 3 cubes in the room 3/4 area, that need to come down, but i dont know how to, especially as some1 noted that killing the turrets is not it, because... one could actually do that, i might make a vid of that later

Overall: decent improvement, making the map a lot more playable

Ohh..ok thx. ihave to make the portalbe place smaller ( behind the glass wall. than you cant play unintendet) and i want to put in a crusher for making the splatting in the long way realistic cause the blood seems to be reasonless for some players but an udate of this level is not important, yet .I ll try to be carefull in the next map

It's too late for detailed feedback, sorry...
I enjoyed the puzzle (it's great) ...but sometimes, the design is a little bit crappy und there are several bugs.

Here is my "training" for the speedrun (it's cutted! just to show the impossible way):

wOKOT90CiaQ

It's the first version of Cube Collector, therefore it doesn't make sense to perfect this speedrun.

Maybe, tomorrow I will list some bugs and glitches of your map!

after i have seen your video, i have change things. thx you. The only thing i want to do is making glados voice in this map but i can?t do because i can?t play the sound in hammer to preview... i have search a list of this but i can?t find something like that. It would be nice if someone can help me, because i don?t want to check all sounds. it takes to much time... othervise it is a good idea if somebody have time to create a long map which plays the list of voices glados speaks. after this is done, i will upload a new update of this level.

Great map!
It's not the neatest ever, but I loved the interesting use of physics - lots of fun, thanks.

I solved this map the first time through without ever going into room three. Then I went back and solved room three, which was very frustrating because the cube went in the acid many times. It was much easier to solve without the added hassle of that room. This map looks like it had some very good puzzle ideas, but as people found exploits, you just slapped patches all over the place, instead of rethinking the layout. The various fizzlers floating in midair and spread across the floor really looked desperate. Add in the mixture of misaligned textures, and this map could use some serious beautfication. Done well, this map could be a 4, but with all the problems, I'm rounding up to give it a 3/5.

how do you solve this map without going into room three ??

I also never had to go into room 3 - although I went there, hit the button . . . and could never get that cube because it won't fit through the narrow crack. But like so many things in this map - I did not need it anyway.

Very frustrating map - I saw the walkthrough just bounded past the Turrets - I tried that about 40 times and always died. There were red herrings, that caused me to waste time (such as the 3rd room). Finally I got every reflector cube into the laser room and got out.
