Hey, great map so far! I managed to get the cube into the big room after about 20 minutes.

Are you supposed to use a cube throw/toss in the first puzzle?

I managed to get the cube to the plate, but can't figure out what to do next. I hope it doesn't involve tossing it out. will have to wait for other players...

Nice map again
Getting on the first lightbridge was simply brilliant! I didn't like the part with the reflectorcube. Setting up the laser was lucky and took many tries. Took me about one hour to finish these parts and now I'm stuck on the last part for almost two hours. -.-

I don't know how I get the cube down there and get up again through the laserfields. I know exactly what you had in mind with the two lightbridges but it seems impossible to get above the fizzler without the cube and without losing the funnel. Going back is not possible because of the first fizzler... I hope someone finds the solution soon... This is driving me nuts
I'll upload my solution if I make any progress

I can not figure this out, I can't even get the cube in the first room. I'm guessing you have to toss it because I can see no other way but it keeps going in the water

How did you do that? I thought that you're supposed to use the ledge above the button to block the cube so that there's a delay between your ascent and the cube's ascent. But that still doesn't give enough time lag..

Chander oh Chander, evil mastermind of all evil mastermind portal 2 mappers.
Once again you've fried my brains, stunned me with your puzzle and one day I'll finally find it out!
Looks are splendid again, love your "indicator lights".

Two tiny things about the graphics: the laserfield emitters are not dynamic and they're upside down!
I got to the point where I got the cube on the button and then I got stuck. One day I will defeat you(r puzzles) Chander... ... one day!

Awesome job

Just downloaded! Going to try it immediately!

EDIT: cube out of the spawner room... very nice (not sure if I did intendedly but I liked much this puzzle!!!). I'm dealing with the bridge room + buttons + cube + funnel ........

Yay I finally found the solution I loaded the map today and found it after 2 min.
Sleeping over it is the solution haha
I'm going to record now.

Gah! That was brilliant brain excecise!
The bit where you have to line up the reflector cube took bloody ages leading me to think that maybe there's a more elegant solution, like the rest of the puzzle elements.. but hey, I got there eventually!

Every part of the map was fun though, thanks!

I started recording a blind run, but this being a Chander test and me having sod all HD space make for a bad combo, so I'll record a quick solution after dinner ^^

Heh, I had the opposite problem.. I saw that solution, but got stuck on the very last bit :p

Edit:
Scratch that.. I've either forgotten the solution or glitched my way through. Can't seem to finish it now

Video should be available soon...

Not sure if the last part with the grate is intended but anyways very nice map!!

Edit: Forget what I just said, stupid me. Edit2: Doesn't matter anyway - too stupid for the cube toss.

Hah, brilliant! clapclap
I tried that many times but the delay between pushing E and being able to make a portlehole put me off.
When the cube spazzed out completely and jumped across the funnel room I plain gave up on that :p

I'm so bloody stupid! I kept trying the FIRST lightbridge part for about 45 minutes and still couldn't figure it out...

Anyway this was an incredibly good map (in my book), Chander. I'll be looking forward to more maps from you.
And as always marKiu, congrats on quickly figuring out a solution

5/5 from me...

I deleted the 20 fails in the video
I found out that its possible to go back into the funnel room using the lightbridges in the last room.
If you place a portal right behind the bridge and push urself in random directions you slide along the bridge and pop through the portal. Very weird.

Lol, I managed to do that once (orange portal behind bridge), then in the main room, climb the side walls using the wall climb technique.. go back through.. go into the hole with the floor panel. place a portal and remain standing on the edge of the blue one (near the ceiling of the funnel room).. then jump out of it and put the blue portal on the funnel room floor beneath me, coming flying out of the orange one towards the ceiling fizzler. I tried this for like half an hour before realising that even if I got to the top, the cube would still be stuck on the floor button :p

Chander & marKiu, can I just say: You're really sick!

5/5, although I'll never make the map.

As soon as I realized I would have to toss a cube a long way, I knew I was beat. This map is for mouseketeers only, controller freaks need not apply. I just noclipped the cube into the funnel, and continued from there. I finally got stuck trying to get back upstairs across from the exit with the cube still downstairs, so I surrendered and watch marKiu's solution to that point. I'll admit I never would have thought of trapping the cube behind the grill.

I've compared the rest of my solution to marKiu's video, and there's only one major difference. I used a another method to get a portal in the floor of the second room. His way was much easier.

Except for the cube toss at the beginning, this was almost manageable with a controller. The quick turning and shooting at the start was very tough, though. Except for the cube behind the grate trick, there wasn't anything really devious in the puzzles. The trip to the lightbridge was a thing of beauty. Since I love remote cube wrangling, the lightbridges at the end were a nice twist, even if it was a bit tedious.

I'll hold off on rating this until I can play it without cheating. The good news (for me) is that my office PC died by degrees two weeks ago. With a new power supply, new motherboard, better graphics and a new hard drive, I can now play Portal 2 with a mouse.

Impressive run through. After seeing "how" I realized that I cannot "do" this map. Impressively complicated and kowtow to marKiu and others who can complete it.
Thanks for creating this....

I solved it exactly as marKiu did. But only after watching his video. Well done chander and markiu. Is trapping the cube behind the grate intended? I found it to be quite tricky to pull off.

@kennkong I second what markiu said.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that trapping the cube behind the grate is intended because there is no other use for them. Not sure about the execution...

Wall strafing to victory!

Here's a few of my alternate solutions - all chopped together, but landing on the bridge is a single shot. (Looks weird on account of warping the player). Skipping the reflector cube section is a big plus ^^

Here's that last jump in a single take if anyone wants to give it a try

Finally finished it, after 1h 40mins My solution was similar to MarKiu's, except for getting on the first lightbridge. There is one more way. If portal is little bit twisted, the cube can be placed on the corner. Fly to the top and place new portal in correct position. Then just simply place vertical portal in the right moment and its done :]

This map was perfect for me, not too easy, not too hard. And I like maps with cube throwing ^^
Good job Chander, looking forward for more

Lol, it's the jump I'm most impressed with, took about 100 shots. Not as elegant as your solution, but meh :p

WOW... This is absolutely incredible. I finally gave up after 4 hours (only managed to get the first cube out of the spawner-room, and couldn't bring it to the bridge part altogether with the funnel) and watched MarKiu's solution. My friend, you are just as incredible as Mr. Chander! Incredibly fast and powerful deductive thinking MarKiu! I came one day late and my motivation decreased when I knew you solved it, Marc... but anyway, to be frank, it is the most complex monster anyone has developed so far (at least for my taste)... so I don't really know how much time would I have to spend to complete it! (and resist to not watch a vvideo solution already posted!)

At least on my opinion, this is the best of your maps, Chander. I'm glad to discover that you continue offering real jewels to us, to your fans. Each map you make is even better than the previous one WITHOUT ANY KIND OF DOUBT. And that's a gift!

Thank you sooooooo much for mapping. Truly. One day you should write down a book about puzzle making, deductive thinking and "thinking out of the box"... I think it could be the most interesting thing to read ever!

Waiting for the next one!

Wow that took a while. Really tricky and I sure had to save and load alot. First chamber didn't take me that long to figure out but the lightbridge one took much longer. I would have liked a bigger placement helper at the bottom if it even had one. I got stuck in the button few times and I could shoot my portal down from that angle.

Getting the laser cube to fall on to the button was annoying but after a while I managed to do it. Last puzzle took me a long while to figure out and it was pretty annoying to execute but I still enjoyed it.

Only way I could do the last puzzle was by grate glitching and if that is not intended I will have to try again. I just couldn't see any other way to do it.

The map doesn't look that good in my opinion. I would have prefered the normal indicator lights over the ones you used. Still just for the great challenge I'm going to give it 5/5.

I don't understand, why indicator lights distorted. I used for indicator material indicator_lights. I see them correctly.

Great map Chander. It took me around 1.5 hours to activate the angled lightbridges and I got stuck there for about half an hour before running out of time with it. marKiu, hats off to you for figuring out the ending.
I eventually found Jacu's alternate first lightbridge method where you leave the cube on the corner of the floor platform and then re-portal to pick it up in the funnel.
Anyway I agree it's probably your best map so far.
Edit: by the way, the indicators looked the same for me as in sicklebrick's video. Brown and not changing when activated. I guess that's intended?

For those who cannot make that incredible cube throw up and over the glass (like me).
You can instead :

- shoot the portal slightly higher and higher to move you and the cube higher
which places you and the cube just above the button.
- grab cube and spin it around so it is between you and the far portal
- shoot the portal 10 feet lower and re-grab cube - funnel is now going
into the glass, and you are dropped onto button edge
- you will now be standing on top of the edge of the button. You can even
jump up and down and will not fall.
- then simply throw the cube with a sideways toss out and over the glass and
into the funnel - where it becomes pinned against the glass
- shoot new portals, moving the funnel and cube sideways until it goes
into the tall corridor

- drop down and get cube

DONE - with the first hard part

You know what?? I love those strange indicator lights and I thought they were custom made by you when you released "Two Towers":

4cTS49vjaMc

How do you place them? do you make some kind of clip to the texture behind? I never saw that problem before... Also, some other players don't see that the same as me (brownish), but checkerboard-like (I guess this could be due to lower settings than me though).

Have you tried to verify integrity of game cache in the case that those textures are corrrupted?

I agree with those who said this was one of Chander's best map - and I liked all of them. Really got you thinking in interesting and creative ways.

One thing though I did not enjoy at all is the trick of stucking the cube behind the crate. I don't know if that's the intended solution - I don't see any other -, but the reason I did not like it is because I actually thought about it, but gave up because after many failures I thought it must be impossible (Kudos to Marklu who did not give up, and showed me it was possible). This is in contrast with the rest of the map where the difficulty lies mianly in the thinking, not the execution (even the cube throw pales by comparison), and it's always annoying when one does not get to the end for a reason likte that. Anyway if it was possible to find a more reliable way to achieve this I think it would improve the map to reach even greater heights.
