Description
My first map for Portal 2. It's kinda tricky. New in 1.1: - New solution instead of the intended old one. - Made the first button slightly harder to achive (oh gosh). - New puzzle element for acquiring weighted cube. - Some details and animations. - Videos on the screens. - Fixed elevators. - Minor fixes. - NO POTATO. - Easter egg.

Thanks!
That's wasn't intended to allow you to save your portal on the platform when you in the second room. But I like the way you solved it
This level was unfairly difficult. It was really confusing and not fun. I would have never figured out how to do it if I hadn't watched your video, and I still didn't want to complete it after that. It just was not worth it.
So, it's likely that there will be update for this level with several bugfixes/new features. I think the solution will be more obvious.
Also I started creating the second chamber in this series. Should it be separated from the first map or could I upload it here?
This map is INGENIUS. I was surprised that I got the solution without the Video but I stuck with it and it finally dawned on me. What a great new twist you added to the ever-growing list of unusual solutions. Kudos man - GREAT job.
I found the puzzle solution in this one to be obvious, but the execution was problematic. I couldn't hit the first button in a hundred tries. I was always too high. There must be some secret to losing momentum going through a portal that I don't know. Then the laser alignment (both parts) was very fiddly. I knew exactly what needed to be done, but had to tweak and tweak and tweak to get it. Nothing that I haven't seen before, and plenty better. 3/5 from me.
EDIT: If you're going to use sp_lightboard_icons.txt, it's best to compile it into the map using bspzip.exe. There are threads in the Mapping Help & Discussion forum that explain that better than I could.
EDIT 2: This is the second map I've played today that drops me out of the elevator at the end. I've gone back and played other maps, and they are still working right, so there may be something wrong with your departure transition.
EDIT 3: There may be something wrong with the arrival transition, too. While the map starts with the potatogun in Portal 2, it starts with no gun in the mod that I use to play custom content, even though I've added it to sp_transtions_list.nut to give it a two-portal gun. I'm no expert, but I think that means the "command" and/or "@command" entities are missing.
It's very tricky to push that goddamn button, it doesn't work when you just do the fling.. But hey, that's what I'm a ninja for.

So, it's updated, and now you can watch the intended solution below (from WIP-version).

Paincake, if you're making a new version, please provide updated solution too, or at least confirmation that it is indeed possible to get the first cube. I can't manage to see how to get it, none of the above walkthrough show how it can be done in 1.1, nobody seems to have claimed to solve it, and thus I am wondering whether it is worth keep looking.
