Really not bad on the puzzle side - fairly easy - but still thoughtful - yes I got stuck in a room at the start - also saw some flickering here and there, which should be fixed. I especially enjoyed the fling puzzle - some fast shooting required! Thanks for making!

The fizzler in the first room is not working for objects.
I even took the camera and used it to activate the button to make the ball roll

Got stuck in the first room, don't know what to do there. Only option was to place a portal under the cube but that didn't help. Now what?

1/5 so far.

You can shoot a portal through a part in the ceiling too

Ok, got it. Silly me.

The second room is too large and too simple for my tastes. Do you plan to expand it further?
The third room wasn't solvable in its current state for two reasons:
1. The laser is positioned too high/the ceiling is too low. You cannot place a portal high enough to redirect the laser without stacking the two cubes. But then you have no cube left for the switch that is opened by the laser.
2. The sphere doesn't reach its target faith plate because it looses its momentum due to the too narrow gap between the slanted part of the wall and the side wall.

Its come along way I see and has the third room now, good job.The only problem I seen with the laser room is that if you miss pushing the button before before inserting the cube you have to start over as it doesnt go back down.Third room took me many tries lol so am editing out about 10 minutes of the vid. Will post when done

Playthrough

1: the laser can be activated
2: you can get the ball to the correct spot. It is possible to solve room 3.
Just give it another try

This was an enjoyable map, but I ran into two problems. At the beginning, I shot the cube onto the button and the funnel activated for about one second and then stopped. I guess the cube fell off the button? Had to start over, which wasn't a big deal. It took me forever to figure what the mini-button does in the last room. I heard the sound and looked around but saw nothing for about half an hour. Maybe make the panel whiter so its more obvious or use an indicator strip. Anyway, thanks for making.

Solved it after I finally noticed the toggle switch for the funnel in room 3. Room 4 was no problem to figure out, just the quick replacing of the portals needed many tries (I'm not the fastest nor most accurate gunner, lol).
Didn't encounter any anomalities such as flickering etc, although imho it needs some refining polishing here and there, mostly regarding the room sizes. Large rooms with those uniform textures always look a bit dull to me, even if the puzzles are challenging.

Overall I rate it 4/5. Keep going, you're on a good path!

You screwed up a good map with ninja crap. In the final room, I could not fling to the button even at 1/5th speed. My controller can't turn fast enough, and my trackball can't turn accurately enough. Not even at 1/5th speed!!!! Also, I looked all over for what the button pedestal did, and couldn't see it.

As always, I won't rate it if I can't play it.

EDIT: I'm a stubborn s.o.b., so I kept at it and made it once with a controller (my trackball just refuses to look down fast enough) out of countless tries. If I were to adjust that fling, I would flatten out the high portal, so you're not looking so high coming out of it. Then I would move the portals on the opposite wall closer together, so you don't have as far to turn to hit the final one.

I can understand KennKong there. Even with a mouse that fling isn't easy. Maybe the room could be a bit wider so that the fling was longer and the players had more time to replace the portals?

In the starting room, the ceiling surface was very hard to hit for me. The portal just didn't get placed. It finally worked when I crouched. I can see why people get frustrated here, because after a few unsuccessful tries you might be sure that surface isn't supposed to be shot at all.

The ending elevator didn't work for me. I was trapped in an infiinte loop there: being sucked up, falling down, being sucked up again, falling down again...

@zivi7 he notes the problem in elevator in the description.

@KennKong It took me 10 tries using a mouse and I suck at portaling while in the air but its doable.Whats your controller? xbox controller with the pc adapter?

i forgot to say that i started with the first room thats the first thing ive ever done so im sure u can see a big difference in the 1st and second and i didnt want to redo the first as its kind of a thing to look back on as wow i was such a noob back then. as for the cube not hitting the button when ur trapped ive only had that happen once and ive tested this many many many many times and it never happenend again so i kind of forgot about it : (

When the level loaded and I was stuck in that tiny corridor, I was kinda put off, but as the map progressed, I enjoyed it more and more

I don't really mind the misaligned textures and all that; it had me thinking and splashing around in acid for 20 mins or so and I had a bunch of fun.

The last room's flings were alright, but I get a shitty framerate with fraps running. Not sure why KennKong uses a controller, but I can see how it'd get frustrating. Gotta say though, it's a really impressive first map, and I'm looking forward to more ^^

Here's my blindrun. It stutters a bit entering the last room where I paused to go feed Mr Kitty, so I chopped that out. Clearly not hiding anything given that I ran straight into the acid anyway

Should be available half an hour or so after the post.

P.S. love the hidden turrets :p

Oh, sorry, I must have overlooked that! Maybe you could just cut that bug out by showing the "Enf of playtest"-screen as soon as the player enters the elevator?

A few suggestions:

1. The camera can be detached from the wall in the first room with the turret. However when I send it through the fizzler, it doesn't fizzle. The turret fizzles, however. Same thing happens with the ball, laser cube, and companion cube when you try to fizzle them with that same fizzler. The other fizzler in the room behaves the correct way.
2. Plus I don't think that fizzler should be sticking out in that room quite like that. I know that fizzler prevents the player from portaling back into the previous room but if you create a small hallway in between the two rooms you want to connect, place a door at each end of the hallway, and place a fizzler in the middle of the hallway, that would be better.
3. I never used the funnel to position the laser cube to fire into the laser receiver. I stacked the laser cube on the companion cube and performed this weird glitch to get the laser to fire into the laser receiver:

Glitch
http://steamcommunity.com/id/wildgoosespeeder/screenshot/560938938217785169
I suggest lowering the laser emitter to prevent other players from using this glitch to solve that part like that.
4. The panel that gets activated by the companion cube to make the ball roll to the other end so that way you can pick it up should be fixed in an incline-like position for as long as the companion cube is keeping that button pushed down. That way players if for whatever reason lose the ball don't have to do the steps all over again to get another one again.
5. Same as #2 but apply it to the hallway before the room with Aerial Faith Plates instead of having a hole.
6. A big button to release a cube can cause some problems potentially. I suggest a switch like the one you used to switch the direction of the funnel.
7. Indicator lights should be used to indicate something will activate there (in this case, a panel that flips around).
8. That flipped around panel flips back after a certain amount of time. I hear no ticker that should indicate the player to react quickly. Also to go with #6, use a timer thing to further indicate to the player that something will be active for a short time.

I liked the WIP version better. The new last chamber just sucks, it's easy to get stuck there and random playerclips make it just horrible. It also seems to be just fiddled there to add another room; the second room had a kinda good puzzle (almost very simple) and the third room is just a joke.
However, apart from the new room there are some decent minor changes, that's all that I can like about this version.

It's so nice for you than you can play with a mouse. I would if I could but I can't so I don't. My choices are wireless keyboard with trackball, and PS3 controller with MotionInJoy bluetooth driver. The trackball response can be adjusted in joy_configuration to find a compromise between speed and accuracy. My problem is the actual trackball itself. It turns up, left and right just fine, but very poorly to down. I'm guessing the pressure of my thumb when moving that way shifts the trackball off its sensor wheel.

I've looked for another wireless keyboard/trackball (I have an Adesso WKB-3000UB) that has an optical sensor, but every one I've seen has both mouse buttons on the left hand. The Adesso is hard enough with the right mouse button on the left hand. As long as I don't have to move and shoot BOTH portals, it's pretty manageable.

Room 4 (flings to an elevated button) completely ruins the map. Ninja moves in mid-air are irritating enough, ninja moves AND zero-tolerance for error followed by death or suicide to restart the level is a rage-quit. Sorry. I'd suggest making the floor solid so mistakes can be corrected quickly and/or making the double portal in mid-air less exacting.
