Description

It's a medium sized map with a bit of a challenge. Original 1.0 This is my very first creation in Hammer. It took a week and a half to make. It contains three test chambers, varying in difficulties. It has some classic puzzles, some new, and a bit of action. Please enjoy! * * * Update: 1.1 I fixed some textures, lighting, and few other things. If you find any other bugs or glitches, please PM me. * * * Update 2.0 Ok... I fixed the lighting (again... and again) with some wall lighting. YAY! I fixed all of the leaks, (obviously since I did wall lighting) fixed some textures, made the first chamber more challenging, added A LOT more detail, no more unintended solvable first chamber tactics, and built my cubemaps, (oops! forgot to last time). And if your wondering why there's no Bonus Map image, I don't know how and it's really frustrating me! I would really like it if anyone could write me a tutorial or fine a GOOD one for me. BTW if anyone could give me a tutorial for the image creation in the BNS maker. that would be nice too. Thank You! And to get people a little more interested, I added a secret... ;) Hope you find it!

This is The Secret Station.(I couldn't really think of a name...) It consists of three test chambers of various difficulties.
BTW, there's no companion cube.*

Big flaw: no autosaves. Do NOT rely on the player to save his game. Often you're so into the game you completely forget to save.

Next to that, the orange portal in the first testchamber doesn't deactivate when you enter the second testchamber, meaning that you can return to the first chamber and get effectively stuck.

YESH! A map without autosaves, that has got to be the best thing I have heard in my life. I hate those auto saves don't want them at all.

i never use (or rely on) autosaves. but like when they are there (incase i need to go farther back than my quick save (or 2nd quicksave) cuz i quicksave religiously.

Lighting looks extremely bland, and has no Light source, also, those panel supports looks really fat. Kinda blocky really.

The first part was okay, the second part was to hard in my opinion. Had to noclip to finish it.

I liked that you could flush the toilet (could you do this in portal? cant remember) also like the little fishies in the goo (see abpoe). First two levels were OK, got a bit bored of the last one, have real difficulty holding onto cubes/spheres and shooting etc at the same time, got so fed up, noclipped in the end.
Anyway, good effort thanks
