Nice map, but couldn't figure out the trick in chamber 1 to get up to the top - had to noclip; sorry....
Laser chamber - didn't activate all the laser receivers or use the light bridge but got the door open... feel like I missed something...
Thanks for mapping.
Im gonna be honest, I couldn't get to the top in chamber 1 either... got a feeling its a hidden panel or something
It took me a while but I managed to reach the top of the chamber 1, there is no hidden stuff. You must make two consecutive 'gel jumps' to reach the platform
Good maps, I liked it, thanks for mapping.
(sorry for my bad english)
By the way, I finished the chamber 3 without using two buttons, I do not think it was planned that way?
Here's a video link of how I finished the 4 maps: (spoiler)

(sorry again for my bad english)
I finished all 4 maps, the first one is pretty weird but the other 3 are very very good, no doubt one of the best custom map i've tried here.
Too bad there is pink reflection on glass object (like on the youtube video above), there is not this probelm on your screens.
( Hope you understand my english =] )
Disparate level of varying success: much uglyness (playground style room, broken aperture later), some average vistas and one small but smooth finale. In the end it leaves a poor impression, which is a pity given the effort evidently put into it.
I would save that last chamber for its own map.
Hey, I really enjoyed doing this map! It is very beautiful and the puzzles are creative! good job!
Great map it is! The first chamber which is about making two consecutive 'gel jumps' to reach the platform is creative. It is really 'thinking outside the box'. The last chamber is fun to play. I had some trouble in finding a portal surface in the destoryed chamber before the last but at last I did it. 5/5!
Sweet map overall, gotta say that first puzzle was a little frustrating because I basically had the right solution from the start but had to just keep trying and adjusting the portal position slightly to make it work (I kept bouncing off the ramp "several times" when I hit it, so it messed up my trajectory.)
Where did you get the GLaDOS sounds from? They must have been in some part of the co-op that I haven't played yet.
Great map, definitely one of my favorites. Chamber 1 was a little frustrating but the clue was enough to figure it out. Challenging but not impossible, and the theatrics were entertaining as well.
Oh wow. I'm kind of overwhelmed by how many downloads it has. I Actually didn't realize that I even made a submission to this part of the website but if more people got to play it this way that works for me! I've uploaded the version of the map that includes cubemaps, sorry about all that shinyness.
For the first puzzle, I'm still not sure if it should be changed or not. It sounds like some of you guys had a really hard time with it but at the same time others thought it was the best puzzle in the bunch

yeah, with the outdoor areas I wasn't really happy with them but I added them last and just kinda ran out of time to get them how I wanted before the submissions closed. It's funny you say that about the last chamber, because that's what I originally designed it as. When I read about the mapping contest I figured I oughtta kick it up a notch so I made the other 3

I think one or two lines are from coop, but the majority of them are simply unused glados singleplayer lines that were for some reason still in the game.
Thanks for the kind words and criticism everybody, I'm super happy you guys enjoyed the map

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

Even though the solutions are obvious, the execution took much too much fiddling around to get right. And the looks are wildly inconsistent; they should be in different maps. The GlaDOS bits helped take the sting out the disappointment I felt playing this. Some really good ideas mixed in with some real stinkers.
The gel chamber is a good idea, but it needs to be shrunk to 1/4 size to cut down on the possible variations of angles and momentum.
The funnel chamber is a dud, way below the rest in looks and play.
The destroyed chamber looks great, it just doesn't fit with the rest.
The laser chamber is the best puzzle, but looks like an escher diagram.
3/5 from me.
