Description

My first (and untitled) map. I dont have much of an artistic eye, so it's nothing stunning in the way of lighting, different textures, props, etc. Being my first map, I just focused on it being functional and here it is. The first large chamber is something of a free-form solution. I know of at least 3 different ways to solve it, so have fun with it and you may not need all available test elements. Also, in this room, the white ceiling panel is portalable, you just have to be at the proper angle for it. I shouldve added a portal placement helper on this surface but I didnt learn about them till after I uploaded this. Happy to hear feedback / exploits, etc. Thanks for taking the time to play it!

Thanks for creating the map, enjoyed it.
Painting surfaces with the white gel was a little boring and time consuming, almost lost interest - took too long. A little blue gel on the turret would have been fun but the cube would have been a problem without a washer.
The fling to the laser cube was hard to execute, more like Portal 1 custom maps.

Funny ending

Was it even possible to get the normal (non redirection) cube? I couldn't do it without reportal, but perhaps I was overlooking something. I also got stuck in both rooms for like five or ten minutes not finding where I was supposed to portal, but I guess that's just my lack of observance...

I thought that the fling (using the panel on the ceiling) was really cool.

I couldn't get past the first big room, the panel under the paint would work. I tried to put a portal on it but it just wouldn't work. So I cheated my way past that part. The ending was cool though.

Here's one possible solution:

Hahaahahahhaha. I watched your guide video, and I facepalmed when you shot white spot over the cube I completely missed. You want to know how I did it? I exploited the turret sleeping animation, counting down from when it saw me then right as it says "power down" or something to that effect I bolted to the end, barely made it. Took me many tries too.

Overall, great for a first map. I loved the 4-portal faith plate launch, was a real challenge

Now get online so we can play some more custom co-ops!

Huge, underdetailed rooms never give away much quality aura. But the unnerving puzzles are the coup de grace: you have to do something about the minimum gel flow and the glass fizzer at the lightbridge, those are beyond good and evil. With some care, you could fit the entire level in the size of the first room.

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

Yet another small puzzles in huge rooms first map. Big flings and yoyos, if you're so inclined. I groaned in anticipation when I saw the conversion gel, but you can get to the door with surprisingly little (I used just five dabs). I didn't use the faithplate because it was too quick shooting for me, but I didn't need it. Just barely 3/5, just because I like flings and yoyos.
