Aperture Facility Delta Reveal themed map for the 2010 mapping contest.
A map I thought was really cool
A simple map I made the day after thanksgiving of 2010. The third version
Death Row 3.0
An intermediate portal map made for my session project in school ( Level designer in video game . Be gentle its my first map in portal you can find the video walkthrough here if you want: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZyFs4zqN1A Ps : if you have problems with reflection just type buildcubemaps in the dev console Ps2 : here you go corrected the little trick that helped skip the first part : ) Ps3 : again corrected the other trick ( sorry if its just quick fix but i dont have the time with all the work i have to do for the end of the session )
Tube Breakout - an intermediate Portal map
Map Name - Tube Breakout Difficulty - Intermediate Map Creator - wyvern14 (contact me at [email protected]) This custom Portal map was created with strict parameters: - have a consistent difficulty level - have player guidance (sound, visuals, usage of lighting that gives hints) - have the same sounds and mechanics as Portal - have the Portal "feel" without using anything that would seem gimicky, out of context. All in all, it had to feel like a Portal DLC and like it belonged in the game. - nothing custom-made or imported that wasn't made by Valve This was created as a school homework and isn't perfect, but I feel it now needs public guidance to go to the next level and make it as a solid portfolio piece.
Leaps of Logic Demo
A demonstration of the implementation of logic gates. Contains two maps: 1 teaches the concepts for those who may be confused, the other shows them in action. Map by me, texture by me. 4 room layout by KingKoolKyle. Leaps of Logic final coming when it's done.
Try Anything Twice laser "SDK"
This is a demonstration and prefab collection of the laser mechanism featured in my "Try Anything Twice" map pack. It is similar to Valve's "thermal discouragement beam" in that it will travel through portals and it also includes the redirection (lens) cubes seen in the Portal 2 trailers. It is primarily aimed at map designers who want to include a similar mechanism in their maps. (Adequate mapping experience and familiarity with complex entity I/O setup is required.) Please read the included readme.txt file for usage instructions. You'll need 7-zip to extract this file.
Halo 3 Announcer Turret Sound mod
Killamajaro. Sorry the audio on some is a little low.
Valve's Aerial Faith Plate #2 Re-creation
Just re-created Valve's Aerial Faith Plate #2 for Portal. Boredom got in the way. Have at it. If it shows missing pink/black checkered-tiles, then I'll somehow need to know how to use PakRat. Thanks to Reepblue for the textures, and the .vmf to show what he did to make his Aerial Faith Plate works. Please not that the Aperture Science Aerial Faith Plate does not always work well.
Portal 2 Portal Device Sound Mod
Okay so first off if you downloaded this exact thing off of a place called "Thinkingwithportals.com" by a user under the name of "Wilbo" then he stole this from me! I did not take this from him! I spent quite a bit of time on this so as it says below....DO NOT REUPLOAD WITHOUT PERMISSION! My sounds have distinct difference from any other sounds because of the editing program I use. So don't be a Wilbo and respect the fact I want to keep my work as mine. I will be uploading it to myApertureLabs.com AND Thinkingwithportals.com to avoid any more stealing from happening. Thank you and please enjoy the sound mod. Now to what's inside the sound mod Blue Portal Firing sound Orange Portal Firing sound Portal Opening sounds Going through a Portal sounds Exiting a Portal sounds Original post: http://www.fpsbanana.com/sounds/12530 I will release a final version once valve releases Portal 2 (yes you have to wait a a few months for a perfect sound mod) As I always say: DO NOT REPLOAD WITHOUT PERMISSION! Credit goes to: Valve For the Original sounds and games RubyCarbuncIe For editing the original sounds from the trailer.
Resurrection
This is a multi-part puzzle created for the My Aperture Labs contest. It gets harder as you progress, and several of the parts are interconnected and must be reused. Most of the time it is not obvious what to do next. Most people will probably find this level to be very difficult, but it is solvable without using any hacks or glitches (e.g., ?portal tunneling?). Note: Unfortunately I don't know of a way to have a second "scenes.image" file specifically for this map. So, for now, the voices are played by ambient_generics rather than scenes, and subtitles are faked by game_texts.
