The RS Playground V 1.6 (Coop works!)
Here is a video of the map! (In V 1) Give suggestions as a comment!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82s4MEALP1M ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ NOTE: I have not released any previous beta versions of this map (0.1, 0.2, 0.3, etc.) but I do have them. I do not plan on releasing them because that would be... well... pointless. Actual Description: When you come to start in my map, you must complete an easy Test Chamber. The Test Chamber is actually gravity/logic defying. (HINT: The Excursion Funnel does absolutly nothing!!) When the door opens you will be presented with a hallway leading to the playground. What this map contains: Excursion Funnels (Tractor Beams) Light Bridge Combine Ball Launcher (PUT THE .vpk FILE IN portal2/portal2/addons) Propulsion Gel Repulsion Gel Erasing Gel Literal Moon Room V 0.2 REAL WATER :0 (You can drown without a HEV Suit DUUUR) GLaDOS on the ceiling Many, many buttons Lots of cubes World Portals EASTER EGG!!! Solving puzzles in a Dali-esque world while being threatened by turrets can be hazardous to your health. This map contains puzzle elements that have never been seen in any of the official Portal 2 maps, either single-player or coop. If you can solve this puzzle, you prove that you can think outside the box. All known bugs fixed in version 2.5 With the latest updates, the puzzles are more challenging than ever, but not in an impossible sort of way. Good luck solving them. Additional screenshots showing the evolution of this map: Watch a playtest video of this map: h2pPRu6fQDE Needless to say, this video contains spoiler for the puzzles.
[SP] Oversized Test Chamber Storage Area
FINAL VERSION OF OSTCSA! Changes: -added more decorations in the open area -changed the "malfunction" trigger in area 2 so it does more to show that you can't use those two cubes -added some explanatory text -added env_projectedtextures to enhance the mood -fixed cheat solutions -fixed the glass in area 3 so it will break more easily -made the turrets in the end of area 3 "super damage" so you can't just run past them anymore. This map has some "soft" acheivements (it displays game text rather than giving an actual acheivement) [] Ball Control: In area 1, get the sphere without losing one [] Turrets Syndrome : FIZZLE every single turret in OSTCSA. [] Shatterproof: Solve area 3 without breaking the glass [] The lizard lives: Find the hidden mapmaker's room (found somewhere after area 1)

My first (and untitled) map. I dont have much of an artistic eye, so it's nothing stunning in the way of lighting, different textures, props, etc. Being my first map, I just focused on it being functional and here it is. The first large chamber is something of a free-form solution. I know of at least 3 different ways to solve it, so have fun with it and you may not need all available test elements. Also, in this room, the white ceiling panel is portalable, you just have to be at the proper angle for it. I shouldve added a portal placement helper on this surface but I didnt learn about them till after I uploaded this. Happy to hear feedback / exploits, etc. Thanks for taking the time to play it!
Triple
My first map ever made. Contains hardlight bridges, thermal discouragement beams, and panels.
Sphere Scramble
My first published map, first complete Portal map, and first time attempted submitting over the connection on my phone because I'm stuck with an awful ISP. Sadly I was not able to submit for the contest on time because of the outage. Have been playing with Hammer for two weeks, this being the result. Shepherd a Personality Core around a small course to complete the chamber. Pretty pleased with my Core dispenser, I mean to use it again, though I'm sure I can streamline the whole thing and tidy it up a lot. There are things I thought about doing differently, you will see there are two tractor beams going in different directions, I could have had one with a button to switch direction, but I think this is a bit better for the player. It's not too long but I hope you like the concept and presentation, spent some time trying to match it to the Aperture style. Any anyone who for whatever reason dislikes Personality Cores, they may want to see what happens when they keep pressing the button for the dispenser.. Pictures to follow, lost a lot of sleep. Meantime you can see some WIP stuff on my blog- EscapeFromTheWaterTemple.com
Stairway to Turret Heaven 1.1
Here's my submission for the summer mapping initiative. Couldn't get through the server for the deadline so I'm just uploading it in the general category. A clean/BTS map, with low-medium difficulty puzzles. Most seasoned mappers will probably notice that this hasn't been properly optimized; I apologize, I just ran out of time. Anyway, I had a lot of fun playing with the visual styles, and hopefully you guys have a bit of fun playing it! 1.1 Update: - Fixed two design errors that allowed the player to bypass the turret area completely - Minor graphical enhancements to turret room - Fixed a design error that allowed the player to use an excursion funnel to get outside of the playable map area - Full VIS complile Known problems: - Some players might want better indicator decals for the first area. I didn't add these but if someone wants to put them in, the .vmf is available. - It may be possible to fall outside the playable area without triggering the player death in the first area. This is most likely near the outside of the factory area. I was unable to replicate this myself and so didn't do another compile yet, but if there's any reason to make a v1.2 this will be on the list of things to fix. - There is an erroneous 'nodraw' texture visible in the elevator shaft. Only noticed after the last compile; this too would be fixed in 1.2 if necessary. If anyone wants to use the .vmf, feel free! -Gadz
Ball Maze
I only had about 4 days to work on this, but hopefully I removed most of the bugs and it works. Ball maze, faith plates and a new concept for laser and excursion funnel.
diversity testing
This might not be accepted, because the clock on the site was ahead, and it refused to upload at first. Extra note: After finally being able to TEST it, I've discovered that, shockingly, the only thing completely broken is a single laser, and the unimportant game end effect. Of course, it's still technically broken, but I had to try to submit thirty seconds before the deadline. It's also riddled with physics bugs, as a bonus. The first two tests work perfectly, though, and a lot of things that I expected not to, do work. There's a whole two working puzzles, even. Too late to fix anything, though. SO YEAH, the end is broken. A laser doesn't turn on, and a door won't open. The part before that, will take a billion tries because of a bug with trigger_push. I can't fix it past the deadline, so it's stuck like that. You've been warned.
