This is my entry to Summer Mapping Initiative. First room is all about lasers. As for second room, it's not impossible it's actually really easy. I just hope it's not too hard or too easy. It's big file because I didn't know how to optimize map small and now I don't have time. Good luck and have fun.

Through The Roof v0.4... Ran out of time for the competition due to a nasty leak, so the map is incomplete. There was a lot more planned, but I just didn't have time.. I hope you enjoy it anyways. Too bad the chamber I couldn't complete was supposed to be the interesting one.

BTW, This map took me 10 hours to make, I created this map in one day after I got home from shool, Thats why I'ts kida small and perhaps kida bad:P Remember, no cheating! :P Features: # 4 rooms. # Level design similar to the original Portal style. # Level difficulty is balanced, like the original. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To install, follow these steps: 1. Open the Skinny compressed file with WinRar. 2. Copy both folders, from Maps and Materials folder, into the Maps and Materials folder at the main Portal directory. 3. Load up Portal, go into the Bonus Maps, and find the maps under Skinnycap's Maps. 4. Play through it. Once you have completed the maps, the game will return to the main menu. 5. This map is a concept of a set of maps that I may work on in the future. It introduces the concept of two pairs of portals. One pair is controlled by the player with the ASHPD, and the other pair is placed by the chamber through the use of portal frames. The player must use the combination of all four portals to achieve each chamber's goal. In this first chamber, the player is equipped with a disabled ASHPD. The test chamber spawns all four necessary portals when the appropriate triggers are activated. Above each frame is a number. This number represents which pair the portal belongs to. The only reason I provide the player with a disabled ASHPD is due to the fact that when Chell holds an object without the device, it looks so unrealistic. ;p Thanks Omnicoder for the Chamber Sign Maker!

Hey guys! This is the second test chamber of "Journey for the Cake". This test chamber contains Gels, with the exception of Conversion Gel. (No Cleansing Gel too) NOTE: I made this map purely with Hammer (Authoring Tools). Just because the paint dropper is the one from PeTI doesn't mean that I made this with the Puzzle Maker, right? I'm just bored of using the standard underground paint dropper so I used the PeTI version. Size: Medium Difficulty: Medium Testing elements involved: -Repulsion Gel -Propulsion Gel -Turrets -Hard Light Bridges Improvements: -Autosaves -Lightings -Automatic door signs Enjoy! Winner of the first MyApertureInnovations mapping contest. The theme for that contest was custom content so I introduced a few custom textures including portalable wall and overlays. There are also some semi-new (although I expect I'm not the first to use these) testing elements that are featured in the map. Known bugs: One strip of indicator lights has a part that behaves incorrectly In the large room with the rocket turret, fizzler volume and ball catcher, dropping a box in the goo may not cause it to respawn Fizzler volumes are too opaque These issues will be addressed soon since I could not do so due to the contest deadline.

Enjoy Note: This map uses Common Prefabs 4 Portal(CP4P) V1.5 update! fixes: the camera at the start now falls off the wall when portal'd the indicator strip on the first button is now working fixed backwards checkmark on the fling ramp in the third room changes: the lift now goes a bit faster Difficulty: Medium-Hard

My small Entry for Contest. Hope you have fun getting the Cubes. Edit(24/06/11): Updated - Fix small Bugs - Fix Exit Elevator - Edit the "how i reach the Exit-Puzzle" so player can be true they solved it correctly - Edit some black Walls in last Chamber - Add Autosave
