[SP] Motanum´s Wall Bridge
A map made in hammer fully. Couple of months back. Sligthly harder than Juggling. Maybe. Check it out and upload a blind playthrough if possible, I love to watch test subjects... err... I mean players... solve my chambers. Again, thanks for rating, the feedback and you can use my site to contact me. To install just put the bsp in your steamapps/common/portal 2/portal2/maps folder. Use the console command map to launch it in game.
Cubiculous
That's my first Portal map that I've ever made. It's a rather easy map featuring a quite clean (but not totally clean) Aperture Science look. Took me 42 (!) hours to create it. I hope you will enjoy it. INSTALLATION: copy the file "sp_cubiculous.bsp" to ...\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\maps\ (just where all the other maps are) load the map by typing "map sp_cubiculous" into the console ... THAT'S IT !!! NOTE !!!: The map looks best on medium shader details (in my opinion) VMF: In the folder "vmf", you can find the original "sp_cubiculous.vmf" file and all instances I used. THANKS TO ZELLLIX for creating the puzzle in the right test chamber. All mapping was done by IMPAQUADE.
Switch Case
Fling your way 'round this detailed chamber, unlocking the next set of panels to fling yourself from. Can you use this map's varied puzzle elements to effectively utilize limited resources and find your way out? Featuring unique design elements such as custom entry and exit chambers, personalized chamber signs, and very own mini art gallery, you may just find yourself returning to sightsee, even after solving the puzzle. Feedback welcome. Versions: 1.2 (final, barring any bug reports) Bug fixes: - first cube dropper with void inside - could walk on front of shut panel - catwalk cable attachments were transparent from below Improvements: - Fired the decorator who positioned the tube in front of the art gallery Tube raised - Changed ceiling texture to gray color to avoid portalling/no portalling confusion - New gates in pit to make it clearer what side room's purpose is - Minor lighting improvements 1.1: Gameplay: - Prevented several shortcuts - Added indicators for confusing buttons - Assigned trigger events more intuitively Bugs: - glitchy textures around\inside panel no.1 - Button inappropriately disabling fizzler - The camera at the exit can intersect the wall. - There is a gap between the door and the wall in the exit hall
Faith
My first Portal map! It's a single player map consisting of 4 quite easy, short chambers which should take about 15 minutes to complete. As .vpks are currently not working due to DLC pack, please extract all files to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2 In game press ` (to the left of 1) to open the console and type "map faith" to play the level. Once .vpks are working again I will release an update. Hope you enjoy, and any comments/feedback/recommendations please let me know in the topic link below. If you should happen to get stuck I have posted a video walk through here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZSODxmIBDU Release updates: v1.0 - Inital release v1.1 - Fix bug in chamber 4: you can get stuck if you don't keep a cube with you. v1.2 - Fix bug in chamber 4: there are too many cubes so you can get through the chamber by cheating. v1.3 - Bridge leading to Chamber 2: You can no longer run along the top while it is down. Chamber 2: The main puzzle has new geometry, so that cubes cannot fall between the gaps of the arms. v1.4: Chamber 1 and 2: Droppers fixed so that buttons only reset once the dropper is closed.
Trifurcated
A small and difficult map, inspired by "fizzler network" puzzles like Seven Gates and Gridlock. Note that there are two types of glass- the one with crossed pattern blocks lasers. Also, I've currently uploaded to the TWP database so that Mac users can play it (they have issues with workshop maps as far as I know) and also because I can't access Steam community at the moment. I will upload to the workshop and post the link in this description later. INSTALLATION Extract sp_trifurcated_v1_7.bsp to * Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\maps (Windows) * ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/portal 2/portal2/maps (Mac) THANKS TO Jonatan for his continued playtesting, breaking the map several times during the process, and also for a few suggestions on how to tweak the puzzle. In large part due to his playtesting, the map underwent several (some major) modifications. Marc (marKiu) for trying it out and coming up with some more unintended solutions during the initial stages of the map development (before any substantial modifications), and giving suggestions regarding the layout. Jose for his feedback on the final version prior to release and some useful advice. zivi7, Habzs, etc. for helping out on TWP IRC.
Testing Science (for school)
Hello fine people (and/or others), For school I have to do some research on a topic. No research without test subjects (you). What do I have to do then, you may wonder. It's simple. Play the Portal 2 map I made (it'll probably take you around 10 minutes depending on how smart you are). While playing you'll encounter some zeros and ones (just before the elevators and grey/orange textures). Write them down in the order you encounter them. When you're finished please send the numbers (and the auto-recorded demos if you feel like it) to me (URL to the .dem file (Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2) + reply @ forumtopic with the numbers). Everything should be self-explanatory; You'll both help me with my research and you might even get a manly hug or a cookie. Thanks a lot! (When you got to an elevator, but didnt see any numbers, turn around and go back to the last room, orange/grey not really P2-textured! Please dont forget to send them to me )
FourthReaper Texture Pack: Fields
Texture Files Included: fr_surface_division_field fr_force_deflection_field fr_matter_inquisition_field fr_compressed_smoke_field A small texture (material) pack I have assembled on special request in one of my maps threads. Please note that I have created these textures with a certail function in mind. I would appreciate if you would take a close look at how I used them. The Surface Division Field (green) functions as a world portal, for example. (It is also use in some of my maps.) I did not create instances for these "fizzlers" as I can't guarantee full functionality if I do. Please only use the textures if you know your way around handling these things. How to install: Put the texture files in D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\materials\FourthReaper. A map vmf and compiled bsp are included in this small pack as to show how to make correct use of the textures. Please take a look at the vmf before use of these textures. [color=#DD6060:1xnibl6a][b:1xnibl6a]IMPORTANT:[/b:1xnibl6a] Always add the files into the compiled bsp file (using Pakrat or something else) or create a VPK (if that still works, anyway)! Otherwise other people will not have the texture files themselves![/color:1xnibl6a] Credits: FourthReaper - for design and creation Valve - for making the Half-Life/Portal universe a better place Various others - for helping me make custom fizzler vmt's and helping me out on certain issues. A SP Map with 3 little chambers. Mainelements: Tractor Beam, Faith Plates, Panels Difficulty level: Easy
Madness_1.3.3
A new version of the Madness_1 map with more difficulty and less repetitive (i've read all the critics of the first version and I have corrected them). Then it's a harder difficulty map with portal paint and tbeams in a clean room The first version is here : Madness_1 (don't play this version, the new is really better !) And even you've played the first version, this is really different. Good luck ! Installation : -Extract the zip content to the "C:\program files\steam[Your steam account]\common\portal 2\portal2" folder. -Accept to replace, else, you'll not see the icons on the sign. -Run Portal 2, and type "map sp_madness_1" in the developper console. Have fun !
