Description

The Portal 2 Challenges are too easy? Here comes the first map of my Advanced Mappack for Portal 2. The Level Signs will be fixed, when all maps are released. Have fun! v1.1 -Fixed Transition Bug, by adding the script to the download, you should spawn in the elevator now. -Made it harder to get the cubes in Room 2 -Added security cameras.

-Fixed Transition Bug, by adding the script to the download, you should spawn in the elevator now.
-Made it harder to get the cubes in Room 2
-Added security cameras.

NOTE: If the transition isn't working, try to create a folder named "update" in the folder, where you have "portal2" and "portal2_dlc1" in. Now drag the "scripts" folder into "update".

The map itself is well-polished for the most part. The primary issue is that I spawned in a small, dark room. I had to noclip out and use give weapon_portalgun. But as for what was intentional, it looks nice. It looks nice, but the thing is that only two small and trivial things were implemented to make the map harder.

Same thing here - started in a small room - had to noclip out - get a gun - this is a knockoff map design from portal 1 - with a turret and some added features - maps looks
great - but it would be nicer if it was working properly and will be nicer when you add
more chambers. Can you please fix the intro so we start properly and have gun.

ran into the no portalgun issue too
few other things:
I have cubemap issues!
I'd go for a silent dissolve on the cubedropper. Maybe like the first two a normal dissolve but the rest silent. It is quite annoying
There are no security camera's
The texture in the inside of the second door really looks odd

For the rest: looking good

ooops, I failed with the transition script. At my computer it worked properly, so I didn't thought about that. Scurity Cameras are a good idea, I will add them.

Theres also some feedback in the vod - but what it comes down to is that theres not really any puzzle in the map, that + not loading up properly means the map really has nothing going for it as of now.
I realize its WIP, but even for that it seems like you could've done more before having people playtest it and pointing out the rights/wrongs

I updated to v1.1
This includes:

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
