I went and saw them perform live the other day, and it confirmed my belief that Tom Chaplin, the vocalist, has the single most heartrendingly beautiful voice I have ever heard. It's impossible to tell the difference between his studio track vocals and his live vocals. I'd embed a few videos, but really, just go to YouTube and listen to any of Keane's songs and you'll know what I mean.
Just an FYI they make a lot of parody songs. The first one being one. The second song had a lot of ~poetic meaning~ in it. Don't just rule out music as bad because it's rap.

I don't rule out Rap as bad music per se. I hate it myself (have never seen the point, never really liked how it is delivered, etc.) but I respect others (except my bro) who like rap because everyone has styles and if it was truly bad music it wouldn't be as popular as it is.
I respect your music, you respect mine, we all get along.

Justin Beiber proved you wrong. Also, the Twilight books. Rap does some amazing stuff, but I don't consider it music; its a form of verse, put over music to give it rhythm - you can have rap with a beat and nothing else.

I meant the genre as a whole not a specific song or singer, but yeah he + they suck.

The level in which this plays is the current bane of my existence.

A nice piano cover of the previous music.

I like this song a lot. There's a version with lyrics as well but I prefer the instrumental version.
I wish youtube embeds worked with spoiler tags. Alas, no.

Ouch yes.
Just bought their latest album, s' pretty good generic electronic music, good filler for my library.

I think it is better like this. One thing that is true is that people don't like others bashing to what they listen too. I like the songs I like to be for my ears only, so no one ruins it.
On the flip side, I see music as a social thing, and I only listen to such groups because someone introduced me to them at some point. My brother, Hunter, Caboose, and a few friends in real life introduced me to such songs and people that just made me smile.
P0p: I had the volume pretty low so I don't know about dancability (haha (ha. ha. ha)), but overall,
Groxo: That's basically a shitty ordinary video game track with a bit of a beat added. It reminds me of that touched-up Jesus painting on the internets except not as good. Textures don't mesh well and I don't really hear anything that would ever make me want to listen to it again, in a good way or bad. Would not recommend.
Myself: Stop condoning the sin of post-renaissance Western music and find some shit with actual rhythms in it. Hell, even some unmetered stuff'd be better than the same old.

Clapping Music (Steve Reich), 34 (Dave Matthews Band), Seven (Dave Matthews Band), Samba Del Gringo (Big Phat Band), The Wine Song (The Cat Empire), Anything off of Kind of Blue/Bitches Brew (Miles "Beat White People" Davis), All of the Lights (Kanye West), Accordion (Madvillian). Listen to all of these.
