This may be a good idea that we remake the E3 version.

There's a very good video remake. so? good idea anyone?

EDIT:If someone has the E3 crosshair/Dot crosshair. and a way to make the gun disappear when an item is picked up and the model of the portalgun. someone send me it!

Look for reepblue's betapack in the downloads section. It has lots of the textures and models. For the portal gun, look for a portal 1 model. People are working on the maps already!

I don't really know how to do a VPK override!

Ignore the VPK overides. Just install everything except for pak01_dir.

First of all, you won't be able to pack the VPK to release your maps, and second, the only thing it does is to retexture the unused beta door model and to replace the portal particles. I'm not even sure if this applies only to the maps in the custom DLC required, or if it's whatever uses the content.

That is a model based off of a beta model from Portal 1. Valve used the Portal 1 stock model with a new skin and sprites. Thing is, the view model calls particles instead of sprites now so you need to play in the particle editor and it will not be 100% accurate.

I really want his door model/skin. If it will work with the portal door they used in the demos, it's a home run.

I am reviving this topic so no it doesn't die.

I found some stuff. I found a crosshair mod, and in my own Steam pic, i have an E3 gun :\

Hey, you should check out Co-op's maps. I'm also currently making an outdoors map with beta textures.

I may be able to do work on the visuals and aesthetics. I'm not good at making good puzzles, but I did notice that the test chambers were much more deadly and required lots more execution.
