Portal 2 Custom Weapons and Contraption Showcase
Posted Oct 30, 2013
So anyway, I decided to go in and collect a few of the many weapons and tools I've made for portal 2, and create a video. (There's a bit of lag and an audio glitch halfway through
) anyway, here are some weapons I've made.

This is all very cool that you managed to recreate these weapons and add some of your own, but I'm not sure if people will be able to ignore the glitches.

Would you be interested in porting some of these to the Blapperture Framework? It would fix some of the bugs automatically.

What do you mean by the blapperture framework? I already have them using logic_measuremovements instead of func_tanks, if that's what you meant.

It's a framework I built for custom weapons in Portal 2. It allows switching between them elegantly, multiple viewmodels, and other nice things like that.

Basically you create two relays, called "@weaponname_on" and "@weaponname_off", and parent your objects to one of two entities...I don't remember their names, I haven't used the framework in a while. I'll go look it up.

So I changed the topic name in order to accommodate more of my stuff I'd like to showcase that are not maps. The thing here will be the player tracking companion cube I created.

Using Triggers and thrusters, I managed to make the cube almost flawlessly follow the player.
