I wouldn't say it's bad to use PTI instances as long as you collapse them and such; for a map I'm soon going to release I used the PTI light strips, changed the light color, and found it actually looked better than light textures. This isn't true in all cases though.

Okay, good. I'll switch to using normal light strips if they provide noticeably better lighting.

Speaking of exporting from pti, it really makes me want to throw my computer out the window is when someone tries to make non-test environments (uderground outside of tests or bts) by simply retextureing walls. Also, not as much, but I still don't like it is when people replace normal doors with vertical sliding doors for no reason.

PTI should only EVER be used for fun or for drafting a puzzle without export. EVER.

Export for fun maybe, but some people call it "professional".
