Just a little request to everyone. In your profile info, under location, could you put (atleast) your country? i know some people like putting "funny" stuff. or want to be 100% anonymous... and i guess thats ok. but in the end. could you put your country?

now. anyone who wants to "track you down" doesn't need "that" little peice of info to find you. if they are going to go that route there are better ways. and if you want to put something funny. go ahead, but end it with ,<Country Name Here>

cuz firstly, i just think its cool to belong to a community that is SOOOO diverse, yet, we all (for the most part) get along, and are helpful to each other, plus there have been times when i've seen people having a HARD time understanding a certain idea or phrase (i've ran into this atleast twice myself) BUT: if you are sitting there typing slang like crazy, and the preson goes "wtf?" you might understand why when ie: Someone like me (From Texas, USA) is talking to someone else from say Sweden, or Japan.

i don't know. i just think it would be cool to have atleast that much.

In France, I'm considered as a fluent english speaker, but even with that, sometimes I need a lot of patience to understand what people say. Internet slang + english slang = nightmare.

Personally, I come from a forum that is really awesome about screen space. They don't haveanything under your avatar. No post count, no location, not even a join date. I personally hate people screwing around in their profile, if only because they're not using my screen properly.

Some aspects of this forum just feel cluttered.

It's more or less just your standard phpBB theme with some minor additions for modules I've installed. I am (slowly) working on a full update for it using the main page's layout, so hopefully there will be some hefty changes soon.

I agree, i liked the old main page alot more, when the recent posts and maps were on the right and the news was smaller.

i regret ever starting this thread. if i could, i'd delete it. i just thought it'd be cool to have some insight to the people who's avatars we see everyday... i mean hell the MOST uttered internet phrase is ASL after all :-/ anyway. i don't care. i can play maps without knowing you :-p
