I always wanted to make games for a living too But due to the amount of competition within the field, my knack for leaving things unfinished, other personal things, I've found that doing game stuff is better as a hobby for me I'm now on my way to become an electrician.

Well, I'm close to becoming the first student in the world who got killed by his homework. By. His. Homework. Wonder if they'll throw my maths in prison...

In the spare spare time (that sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?)I have, I try to get a hold of the Hammertool and C++, I work on my own HL2- and Portal-modification SkyLabs, and I play games, mostly Team Fortress 2.

Mostly the same stuff that you people, gaming and making maps. I also like origami, specially folding punishingly hard models I can fold for hours at time for days until I finish the models, it sounds silly but enjoy whatching how my models dry, to see if they get the shape I want. I also like drawing and doodling with my Tablet. Whenever I get the time I make noise on my Yamaha DGX-520 keyboard, I don't really know how to play it I just enjoy following the songs, that's about it.

Well there's work: about 15-18 hours a week of delivering pizzas, it barely pays the bills and leaves me enough to eat and go out with my girlfriend.

Really? I deliver for domino's, have been throughout college, and i get paid pretty well. Like $15-$20 an hour on average. Its not so bad. i work a bunch of hours tho. Anyway, aside from this friggen portal map that's been taking up all my time recently, I just graduated with a BA in music industry, with guitar being my main instrument... and piano. For fun, i make music and effects and stuff for my friend's 3d animations too. Basically all my hobby time has been taken up by mapping, writing music, and working to save up some money!

9 hours a day to work, 7 hours a day on my portal project, 6 hours a day sleeping. Basically, I've got 2 hours a day to relax and do unimportants things, like eating or living. Yeah, my life's not really worth it lately, this Portal project eat my time at an impressive speed.
Besides that, I'm a part-time student and a part-time webdesigner/programmer. I go to school 5 weeks, then 8 weeks in my company. Purchasing a degree in management in IT, networks and telecoms.

Heh never did see your post until just now. Yeah the hourly rate isn't bad (until you subtract the cost of gas/maintenance from your earnings), but like you said, you work a bunch of hours and I only work about 15 to 20 per week. Anyway, I do alright with just that, but I have insanely low rent which includes utilities. I just have to try not to take my girlfriend to restaurants more than ~4 times a week. I really only feel worried about money after I buy something big though. Even then its never quite as bad as I think.

Well...I do music, mostly ATM I play my electric guitar, electric bass, drums and double bass. For the last one I've been playing for 8 years now. The others are just extra for fun. I've also been very intrested in electronic music lately. So, I bought FL Studio 7 a while ago, and I'm learning it. It's loads of fun. I just suck at making my own songs, as I'm used to playing only other's.

I'm on the 8th grade of junior high school (Is that the right word?), so I don't work, except for summer. I also play floorball, 'tho I really suck ass at it.

And, ofcourse I play video games, mostly on PC (I don't own anything else to play with). Me likes Portal, HL2, TF2, Il-2 Sturmovik 1946, Battlefield 2, Fallout 2, Penumbra, and such.

Nothing really special.

Is still in school, so that takes up most of my time.

However, school holidays just started, so I now actually have time to do stuff in between the truckloads of gardening I'm supposed to be doing.

I spend most of my time playing Halo (original pc version), Portal, Patapon (awesome game), Mario & Luigi: SuperStar Saga (also awesome), and Super Smash Bros.

Other than gaming, I'm a Lego fan.

Please do not shun me for partaking in any of the above.
